Next vanguard run I am taking sniper rifles when the choice comes. Ended up finding the claymore surprisingly meh, not enough destruction to compensate for the one-shot-per-reload. The eviscerater is all the shotgun I need. It has a much cooler name as well.
The new lightning gun kinda strikes me as a gun out of District 9. Except it's always pointing downwards. You look at the picture and you wonder why they're aiming it down, but then you realize it's just designed that way. Feels a little wonky to look at.
Yeah it looks more than a little strange. I hope that at some point down the line they release more modular parts for the N7 armor (or complete armor sets that don't feature a helmet).
one of the images for the lightning gun- looks like new armour. helmetless and everything.
I bet it's going to look terrible on female characters since that's just what BioWare does.
Shepard's N7 armor was pretty solid in ME2, quit yer bitchin.
So the frame rate was absolutely silly for the final boss or was that just my xbox? Think I will install it for my 2nd play through and see if that helps but it was damn slide show for me last night.

Installed or uninstalled, the frame rate of the final boss has always been fine for me.
I hate coming in this thread because there are so many spoilers but I have a question: What the hell is storm speed? Is that when I sprint?
Yes. That is your storm.
Why didn't they just say "sprint" speed.
Because they've called it "storming" since ME1. I assume it was because in ME1, it wasn't just sprinting. If you stormed into an enemy, it automatically did a melee attack. But that is baseless conjecture on my part.

I didn't realize they automatically used a melee attack when you stormed into someone. I used it so sprint from cover to cover.

Ok, so as feedback from when I first started playing ME2 and was getting annoyed with the controls, here's how my opinion changed. The controls aren't really that big a deal. I got used to the "hit use for cover" thing.
I still think having one key for Use/Sprint/Cover is silly, but only because we're on PC and there's absolutely no need for it. Besides that, I got around that by having that button bound to both E and Shift and using Shift when I wanted to sprint and E for cover and use.

I'm pretty sure your character still does. You knock them down and I believe they take damage too.

In ME1, does holding down Sprint when not in combat (ie, unlike ME2, it doesn't make you storm outside combat) actually make you move faster. It seems like it, but it moves the camera so maybe its just perception.

Nope, it just changes the camera angle and the controls.

You know guys, its really hard to write good fanfiction in which Tali gets knocked up by Shepard.
But I am trying here, and I think its finally coming together.
I am assuming this is a joke, I am hoping this is a joke, for if it is not...... Then we have been infected with the insanity of the bioware official forums, and it's time to fear for our safety.
You know, I think Tali is a pretty cool character, but the people in that Tali thread on the bioware forums...... Well, they are just stark raving, cuckoo for cocoa puffs, crazy.
Nah, not joking. Was just reading all of these terrible Tali fanfictions and decided to see if I could make one that's actually readable and maybe makes an iota of sense.
Fuck its hard. You have to shut off the voice in the back of your head that says "THIS IS FUCKING RETARDED YOU ARE FUCKING RETARDED" so you don't end up deleting portions that might be good.
And man I've learned more about the complexities of conception than I ever wanted to.

in ME2 they should have it play "Suicide Mission" automatically
Now if only I could sprint more than 5 seconds. :P
Tell McShepard to put down the cheeseburgers then!
I'm having a horrible vision of Shepard being in fat camp as a kid, he/she'll have flashbacks of themselves in scenes from the movie Heavyweights.
But I am trying here, and I think its finally coming together.
post it in this thread

I also call it, the creepiest thread in the official forums.

"I have a shotgun"
Maybe I should write one for every new ME2 thread starting with Tali.
I couldn't even get past the OP
that thread was actually going to make me cry
Wow. 2257 pages? Do these people know that she's not a real person?
I'm scared to think about some of the things that are recorded in that thread. Dark, dark things. Involving geth.

or the second
all the tali talk on the official forums would be over ten thousand pages
I started laughing until I managed to choke.

may have abused the respec/bonus skill functions
