Today I overheard a conversation that my co-worker had on speaker phone.
Tech Support: You've reached systems support, how can I help you?
Co-Worker: I'm trying to re-rate this client's account but the system keeps locking up. My employee number is xxxxx, I'm logged into policy number xxxxx.
Tech Support: Alright, I'm going to temporarily override your editing rights and see what I can do. Assuming control.
...
Co-Worker: Oh, hey, that did it! The change went through. Thanks!
Tech Support: No problem! Releasing control.
That is so amazingly awesome.
Almost as awesome as the N7 hoodie-based Wrex/Shepard exchange.
Wait, what? Where was this.
Someone was walking along a street, wearing their N7 hoodie. A clean-looking businessman passed him, then did a double take and said "Shepard."
I agree, but it took me a few conversations to decide that.
So, is going down into the hold and getting Jack to yell "FUCK OFF" at you every time you go down there normal?
You know what's worse than either pissing off OR getting emotionally involved with the psychopath all powerful biotic? Breaking up with her.
I... I'm... kinda afraid to take her on missions now. But I can't say I miss her pity party.
It's normal
if you had casual sex with her down in the basement. If you do that she views you as just another jerk using her for sex and/or biotics and no longer respects you. Which Kelly did warn you about, remember ?
Speaking of, is there a way to "fix" Jack without having to go steady or whatever? Maybe pawn her off on Jacob or something instead?
Also, I wonder if Bioware is keeping any kind of record on the percentage of the playerbase that cheats on their ME1 love interest. I mean, I know the information is tracked from game to game, just don't know if Bioware is actually looking at stuff like that. Though I imagine the number of cheaters is quite high, especially since there is an achievement for the love-making in ME2 yet you can't sleep with your ME1 love interest in ME2.

this was me. I've yet to met someone that has reacted similarly though

You don't even have to do that, if you just turn her down that's all she'll say to you as well.

I keep seeing people saying you're cheating in ME2 if you had a romance in ME1. Ashley's whole scene on horizon, coupled with the email afterwards, gave me every impression that she broke up.
Meh. Also, what new gun? I've only seen the shotgun
I like to think that I've been managing it so far.
Just hit the neutral option when she asked me if it was all about the sex.
The paragon one is misleading, you see.
Yeah I totally ended up romancing her the first time.
Sorry, Ash.
No, the Paragon answer works, too.
Just don't go with the Renegade "Let's get down" option if you want her to respect you afterward.
One of my favorite dialogues in the game is towards the culmination of the romance, when you tell her that a few conversations won't fix this.
Jack: I guess you'll be spending a lot more time upstairs then.
Shepard: No, I'll be right down here with you.
And, for the first time since you met her, she is speechless in surprise.
After reading this I decided to hit up youtube (since she'd probably be last on my list of romances to try for) and wow.
She's not just speechless, she's uncomfortable and maybe even scared. I really wish we got to see a side of Jack like that without having to be her romance.
Jack: It's just gonna hurt. Or you'll mess around. Or I'll end up killing you or something!
Shep: ...And?
Jack: ...And...that sucks!

I actually just got that email on my playthrough tonight, and it makes me feel like Ash is the most solid relationship left from ME1. Liara certainly never breaks up with you, though, just stays distant.
In any case, I don't know if 'cheat' is the right word. I think a dev said your relationship is 'in a wierd place' and there's definitely going to be lingering feelings when ME3 comes around.

That's why Jack is my second-favorite squadmate, after Mordin, in terms of character development. There is A LOT going on with her, if you can penetrate all of the layers of "F_ck You !"

Edit: ah I see, an Arc projector huh
Perhaps cheating wasn't the right term, but wasn't something said about whether or not your Shepard was "faithful" would have a result in ME3 or something?

See I keep telling myself "ok this will be the canon playthrough" - but who am I kidding. Like, a month before ME3 comes out I'll be re-importing my canon ME1 and playing through the whole game again.
You know they should give your side-characters renegade interrupt opportunities. Do the whole "looking at the thing you'll stab a guy with" and the interrupt is just Shepard giving a nod to the person to do it.
Except Grunt. In his case it should be just paragon interrupts which stop him from destroying everything right away.

Zaeed pretty much has his own Renegade interrupt on his mission. So did Wrex in ME1 with Fist.
Should be more of those. Stuff happens so quick that Shep is just looking at his teammate like what the fuck just happened here

True that. Well we need more of those. Except Garrus. Coz seriously - his entire recruitment is basically that.
EDIT: Tali totally needs to shiv someone with that knife.

There should be dueling interrupts
Someone renegade interrupts to shoot a guy and you paragon to stop him, like in Mordin's
Or someone paragon interrupts to hug someone, and you renegade to punch them out

Too bad I caught it late, will have to try it out tomorrow.

They said it would, yes.
Or you know, any setting really. Be rad to see Shepard fighting the Nazis.
I am free
No you're not.
He shits you not.
Unless by 'done' he means his 8th playthrough, and 'until Hammerhead comes out'
...sorta trading one poison for another, but-
Fallout 3 didn't manage it.
It was mostly the "But we're different people now" line or something like that

What have I just witnessed!?
What you witnessed was a dimension of pure insanity, pure evil, what you witnessed, was hell.
