This is the year 2021.
The place is the challenger sea mountain, the top of an underwater mountain. A complex beneath the sea. A hundred men and women live here. Each of them, a scientist pioneer. For this is our last frontier, a hostile environment which may hold the key to -*kzzt*
"Captain Murphy....with all due respect, could you stop watching the employee introductory video tell us why you summoned us here?"
"Oh! Well...well I thought we could all use a break from our hard work and came up with a game for us to play."
Of course. Murphy had summoned the crew there for an "urgent matter" after all.
"*sigh* Of course. I know I'm going to regret asking this, but what kind of game."
"We assign code names to everyone in this room anonymously, and vote out one code name every day to spend the rest of the game in our detention facility."
"...you mean just take them out of the game, right?
"No, no. Our detention facilities need to be utilized. Their lack of use means that crime aboard sea lab is running rampant!"
"...you do realize the crew members here perform vital jobs for the operation of Sealab? And that they can't do those if they're in detention?"

Welcome to Sealab
This is a mini-phala designed for 25 players based on the Sealab 2021 series.
Source Material
The best source is probably on the adult swim website. There are always a few episodes there, and which ones are available change periodically. A few other clips of the show are there. Wikipedia has some interesting bios of the characters.
It should be stressed that knowing the source material is not necessary, and may even hinder players who are too heavily reliant on it.
I still highly recommend checking it out, as it's a funny show and may make the nightly narrations more enjoyable.
Rules
Every day, everybody may vote in bold red
for someone to be imprisoned in detention for the rest of the game. Vote close is at 22:00 EST (03:00 GMT), regardless of if I post a vote closed message or not. Actions and votes made at or before 21:59 EST on the forum's clock will count.
Standard phalla rules: No anonymous contact, no usage of screen shots to prove things, no direct quoting of your role PM (paraphrasing is allowed), one "ghost post" with no game information is allowed after you die, do not talk to dead players about the game, play nice, etc. Editing vote posts is allowed if you edit it within five minutes, otherwise you should make a new vote post. Note that other players may not appreciate editing vote posts even though I'm ok with it. Do not change a vote post into a post without a vote, or delete a post, under any circumstance. Send me an invite to any proboards you may create for the purpose of discussing the game.
Activity Requirements: Two posts a day and a vote. Note that your vote post counts as one of your required two posts. Missing this one day will get you a warning, missing this twice could get you replaced or killed. A lot of unfortunate circumstances can occur in Sealab...
This will be a fairly standard village vs mafia phalla, with maybe a twist or two. Maybe.

Alignment: Village
You are a relatively normal Sealab crew member. Hailing from pods 4, 5, and 6 (we don’t talk about pods 1-3 anymore), you normally try to avoid the antics of Captain Murphy and the other mostly disturbed staff of the main pod. You generally avoid that pod…it’s safer that way. However, these intruders are a serious threat, and the Captain seems to have forgotten to hire a proper security force for the lab, leaving you no choice but to work with them in order to save Sealab.
Victory Condition: Prevent the destruction of Sealab by eliminating the threat posed by the environmental terrorists.
Sign up in bold lime. Sealabby role playing is highly encouraged, especially with your signup text.
