This isn't a sequel to M.U.S.H.A. Rather, that game is a spinoff of the Aleste series of shmups from Compile (includes Zanac, Blazing Lazers, Space Mega Force, etc.). Thiar particular one predates M.U.S.H.A. by some time.
It started out on the MSX home computer and they got various ports/etc. That is Ellinor though, the series protagonist across most all of the games. Good catch. :^:
Were any of them localized besides M.U.S.H.A.? I'm not really familiar with the series, I just know I loved that game from day one. The opening sequence was just unbelievable to me back then.
And according to the book for my Genesis copy...
She's named Terri in the US version. Even localized by Seismic themselves from the looks of it...

It was not easy, not even NMA was really helpful but I managed to find this, unfortunately most images were taken from avatars at forums all around the web and aren´t exactly big...

can't find any of the neat concept art from the neverhood. Some of the original Half Life concept art was cool too, if I recall correctly.
Also, wow, looking through this thread, it's amazing how almost every japanese game features the majority of its artwork with barely dressed anime girls in suggestive poses.

I loved the diversity of the mechs.
That game had some ingenious parts.
Like when you have to get out and fly around in that huge gun to destroy it. So cool!
