A couple of my buddies have started a tradition where once every semester we pop in some obscenely long movie series around noon and then slowly down ~20-30 shots over the course of about 12-14 hours of drinking game antics. So far we've done the Lord of the Rings extended edition for one night, then all six episodes of Star Wars a few weeks ago. Both were very fun experiences. We've been brainstorming some more movie ideas for our next one but haven't been able to think of anything that feels right, so I'm coming to you for suggestions. Ideally the movie(s) would be 12+ hours and all be part of the same series/franchise, and also it would be nice if they were genuinely good movies too (I imagine those so-bad-they're-good movies get old after the 6th hour or so).
So far we've come up with the Godfather movies, all the Batman movies, the Matrix movies, and the Indiana Jones movies. Also maybe the first 20 or episodes of the Pokemon TV show. All of these movies are opposed by at least one person in our group for various reasons, but if you want to recommend any of those then I can try convincing some people. But outside of those suggestions, I'm all out of ideas.
The Alien series, add on Predator movies if you want it to go longer.
I recently watched Generation Kill over a weekend, about 7.5 hours of show there, and it's pretty good.
Harry Potter movies if you're into them.
That's all I got right now, I'll see if I can think of more later.
More TV shows but:
Firefly
Seinfeld
BSG
Stargate SG1
Living Dead movies (Night, Dawn, Day, Land. Both old and new versions)Edit: Just make it a zombie day, Throw in Shaun and 28 Days/Weeks, Zombieland, etc...
Same for good classic vamp movies, no twilight please!
Terminator films
Also, B-Movie night, Bruce Campbell (Evil dead stuff, my name is bruce), Dusk Till Dawn that kind of fun stuff.

Me and my friends would just watch something really stupid, or movies from our childhood and the like.
I think we've watched:
The Fast and the Furious (all 3)
Notorious
Step it up and Step it Up 2: Step it Up to the Streets
A Goofy Movie
Atlantis The Lost Empire
Fanboys
Freddy Got Fingered
Half Baked
Death to Smoochy (this movie is legitimately good, fuck what the critics tell you)
GI Joe
Green Street Hooligans
Indiana Jones movies
Star Wars movies
Minority Report
Observe and Report
Predator and Alien movies
Riki-Oh: The Story of Riki
Teeth (the one about vagina dentata)
The Machine Girl
Rambo movies
Romeo Must Die
Kungfu movies
Star Trek movies
Streetfighter (the original one with Van Dam)
Super Mario Bros
Swingers
Terminator movies
The Big Libowskis
The Boondock Saints
The Batman movies
The Fifth Element
The Hangover
Titan AE
Transformers movies
X-Men movies
Really, we just collectively came up with a list of movies we wanted to see and then would get drunk while watching them.
For TV shows, Im really partial to:
Top Gear
The Venture Bros
Cowboy Bebop
X-Men the Animated Series (the original one from the 90s)
Gundam Wing
Im sure you could make a drinking game out of Entourage, Flight of the Conchords, or really even Big Love (probably way to dry for a drinking game though)
I suppose I'll recommend you try out Indiana Jones.
You can start off by matching Marion and the Mongolian/Nepalese guy drink-for-drink in Raiders of the Lost Ark and see how it goes from there. If your drinking games include the actual movie, there are a couple tells or tropes you could use: every time Indy uses his whip; every time a foreign language is spoken (you can count Fräulein and нет (nyet)); every time Kate Capshaw (Willie) annoys you; every time Indy comes close to dying; or any of numerous other things.
The side benefit is that once you get to Kingdom of the Crystal Skull you'll probably be passed out by the time you get to the monkeys.
Alternatively, you could watch them in 'chronological' order (Temple before Raiders), but then you don't get to start with the immediate drinking game of 4 or 5 shots in the first 20 minutes).
If you run out of material or want to make it really long, there's the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles (but someone also said Lost and you'd have to do that over at least two days).
I've been wanting to watch the full list of Oscar nominees in a marathon. Yes, even transformers two.
You'll have a lot of fun if you watch watch all the Marx brothers movies up to and including A Day at the Races. The rest are okay, but not what made them popular.
I second Top Gear. My friends and I do this every few weeks, we'll just sit down with a case of beer and watch about half a series at a time. It is perfect for drinking to, also you can call the event "Top Beer" which is kinda witty, I guess.
For TV, if you dont need action and explosions, I'd say Its always sunny in Philadelphia, or Arrested Development. Arrested Development especially, as it has tons of running gags and is just fucking funny, though it may get alittle lost on the epically drunk.
South Park. Pick a season, do at least one shot every episode (say, whenever Kenny dies). Make up your own rules for other drinking events. A full season will take you close to 5.5 hours to get through, so if you want your length do two seasons or throw the movie in. I submit that if you all aren't just completely shitfaced by the end of one season you're doing it wrong.
I'd break that up into "X Actor" Bond movies
Connery
Moore
Daulton/Lazenby
Brosnan
Craig
Mix it up, but I'd keep Moore for extra lols.

Die Hard 1, 2, and With a Vengeance. Throw in Die Hard 4 if you need to cap off the times, but they're just great movies that are fun to get drunk watching.
I did this once in college with tequila and all six Planet of the Apes movies. It's perfect if you want to use traditional drinking game rules (i.e. have a drink every time x happens). After the first movie, you start to see the pattern .
We also did this once with beer and Austin Powers, every time he said "groovy" or "baby". We ran out of beer.
Dropping Loads on
Sceptre: Penny Arcade, where you get starcraft AND marriage advice.
3clipse: The key to any successful marriage is a good mid-game transition.
Definitely, definitely Strange Brew. You could drink every time they say any variant of the word "hoser," or if your tolerances are that high, include "eh" or any other Canadisms.

Not that it's not really good, but I think I'd have a hard time detaching myself from that one to enjoy a drinking game with it.
Deadwood, on the other hand, would be awesome.

A kung-fu night would be awesome too...
Rumble in the bronx, Project-A, Drunken Master, etc...
Or for Jet Li:
Kiss of the dragon, Unleashed, The One all that fun stuff!
Independence Day
2012
The Day After Tomorrow
The Core
Deep Impact
Armageddon
Twister
etc.
I mean, you might die of alcohol poisoning, but...
take a shot every time they rear-end James May
First Blood Part II
Rambo III
Compounded with drinking would probably make it a lot more awesome/confusing
Do a shot every time someone says "cocksucker." Chug anytime you hear "SWEGIN!"
Since there's at least one more coming at the end of this year, you may want to wait.
You could also do a Crappy Modern Fantasy night and watch movies like Inkheart, The Seeker, and the Twilight series.
Or just match the characters' drinking.*
*May cause death.

Every time they say fuck, take a shot.
Just have 911 on speed dial.
This works out great
