[strike]So uh the title pretty much explains itself. I have the DVD collector's edition of Dragon Age: Origins. My CD-KEY is printed on the manual. For some reason, I cannot find the manual. I also can't sniff it out of my registry as I recently reinstalled Windows 7 (upgraded from RC to retail). Thus, new registry and no key.
I have the game registered on the Bioware social site, but you can't seem to retrieve your key that way like you could in the old days (on the old Bioware site. One of my favorite features there was storing my NWN keys for easy retrieval if I ever needed them.)
What can I do? I'm sure the manual is here in my home somewhere, but...
Does anyone know if there's another way to get my key back? Is it at all likely that EAGAMES or Bioware support can retrieve it for me, considering I registered on the social site?[/strike]
edit: So um I found my booklet literally two minutes after posting this. It doesn't seem like I can delete my post in this subforum so uhhh...solved. Sorry.
you could keep all your keys in a spreed sheet and email it to yourself so you always have them, and if you are concerned you could always encrypt/zip and password protect the file
help avoid situations like this, glad you found it though
In the future, if you do buy a game that doesn't have the cd key printed like it should... if you look on the CD, there should be a tiny set of numbers printed on it somewhere. If you contact support they'll ask you for that number and be able to give you a cd-key.

It's how I got my NWN2 key.
