But Rust, your theory makes no sense.

Grunt clearly has a crest. It's not a single plate - whether that's because he's still young, or as a result of tinkering by Okeer is not clear.

But from a "must perfect Krogan race!" perspective, Grunt's head is a step backwards - there are openings on top that could be exploited to make direct attacks on his cranium, to say nothing of the fact that he actually has three or more 'weak points' evenly spaced across his skull!

    Ugh. Just ugh.

Especially considering the brutal biology of krogans; if they turn it into poop, you just know that shit is bad. Probably eat right through the blade.

i wouldn't be surprised if that's part of the reason why grunt doesn't have a crest at all

Krogan crests aren't just a thing they have from day one, they have to grow it. Grunt is shiny new and very young so he just hasn't had time to grow one. Makes a lot of sense considering the other krogans immediately know he's very young without even having talked to him yet.

grunt came out of his tank fully grown, EDI said as much

he just doesn't have a traditional crest, probably because, as said, it's a weak point

he's also got an unusual eye color, but tha'ts probably just a random genetic hiccup

He came out fully grown...but notice he doesn't have a hump either. He'll probably grow both the crest and the hump with time.

Pretty sure the hump is a camel-esque storage thingy actually

    It's in the codex somewhere

A large hump is a sign of age and awesomeness

The bigger the hump, the awesomer the Krogan. Just check out Wrex. Also, I'm pretty sure you're right about it being somewhere in the codex.

From the wiki: "Their large shoulder humps store fluids and nutrients, enabling them to survive extended periods without food or water. A bigger shoulder hump is seen as a sign of high status, showing how successful an individual krogan is at hunting."

    They don't.

I knew the game had been translated to other languages, but this blows my mind. It's great how their facial animations seem to adjust perfectly to the rather large difference between italian and english speaking.

Now I want to see some mass effect 2 scenes in glorious nippon language.

The voice acting seems pretty good there too. Dare I say the Italian Shepard does a better job than the English one? (though he doesn't sound choked enough when Grunt's got him against the wall).

If people of different species are all speaking their own languages which is then being translated by an implant, how come words like "bosh'tet" aren't translated into "bastard"? Or "keelah selai", what the hell does that mean.

I'm picking this back up after a while, and finishing all the Loyalty missions.
Getting Tali exiled according to her wishes (I was not happy about that) and fucking up Samara's mission, I give up and don't care anymore.

After talking with Jacob, I noticed he wants the ship upgraded. He appears to hint that upgrading the Normandy is good for preventing Death By Cutscene Due to Collector Rape Laser so now I'm pillaging the planets for resources like a Space Viking. I've always spent it on personal upgrades.

But I'm not familiar with the rules of driving between systems. What happens when you run out of fuel?

There are species that we are aware of in real life that have developing traits past being 'full grown'.

Look at orangutans. You see the alpha male, you know. He's the biggest mofo around that can probably rip you in half and has these huge cheek flaps (they're really sexy to other orangutans). A 'fully grown' male orangutan will have the cheek flaps, but they won't be very noticeable until he gets older.

Look at humans. A 'full grown' human may exhibit some different features than that of a 35-45 year old of the same sex.

As Grunt ages, he'll probably get more of a hump and perhaps more crest. Based on the threat of Krogan reproduction and their ability to field armies, I would assume they mature at about the same rate as humans... but that may be a bad assumption.

I don't know how old a 'fully grown' Krogan is generally, but it makes sense that a 'fully grown' Krogan may look a little different than a 900 year old Battlemaster.

Isn't it implied that Wrex is around 1400 years old? Since he was around at the end of the Krogan rebellions? (or shortly after they ended) I know Okeer was said to be over 1000.

Keelah seems to be the religious figures name and Se'Lai probably means something like "be with you" So Keelah Se'Lai would be "God be with you", or something similar.
