The Hammerhead on some of those insane ME1 planets would probably have been pretty sweet though.
Dude, I would get super high and run some ridiculous air.

Meh. You just know Bioware are going to give him a moment of awesome in ME3 and we'll all forgive him like the fickle suckers for things blowing up and people getting set on fire or stabbed in the back we are.
I really enjoy how the Hammerhead handles- it's so ZIPPY! But I'm not a huge fan of the combat. That may have something to do with the fact that i keep dying.

Was thinking about the DLC for ME2, but then I noticed they have a copy of the bullshit Microsoft points system going where you can only buy chunks of points that never match up with the pricing of anything they sell, thereby ensuring that you can't simply pay the freaking price for what you want.
Sorry Bioware/EA, but there was no reason whatsoever to mimic that system on PC, and because of it I shan't be buying from you.
also you have to get morinth for dominate? i don't like her, at all.
Word on the street has it you can get her, then reload the mission and go the other way.
You can most definitely do this, yes. Save beforehand just in case, but as long as you've unlocked Morinth, you automatically get her loyalty power, which is saved onto your profile. So yes, you can just choose her, finish the mission, then reload an earlier save and go for Samara, and you'll have both powers unlocked on your profile.

no no, you're wrong. the point chunks DO match up exactly to content prices. so there's no excess. :^:

How many saves do you need? I use, like, 3 per game without including autosaves.
I use 4, and I've never actually gone back more than 1. What, do you save at every single decision in case you want to restart from that point? Do like the rest of us and just do more playthroughs.

well, it's pretty awesome, especially in games like this without a replay-old-mission option, to start something over that you did a few hours ago after learning "ohhhh i could have done THAT that's cool"
eh. it's not a huge deal. :P
EDIT: yeah, my first playthrough of games tends to be the "save before everything major" type
subsequent playthroughs, i already know what each option does, so i can just breeze through making the decisions i want to make.

BW points are available for purchase in multiples of 400. I don't see a 160 point purchase option for the alternate appearance pack.
Likewise, the upcoming Kasumi DLC is purportedly going to cost 560 points on Live, which would also make it 560 BW points, again, not matching up with any number of points you can buy or any remaining point total after making another purchase. Charge me the effing price and don't play games with me.

I was gonna bitch about this too, but it looks like if you go to buy the individual DLC, you have the option of either buying a chunk-o-retardo-points, or buying just the number needed for the DLC when you check out. Which is fine. I just wish they wouldn't bother obscuring it with the point system.

The only purpose I've been able to think of for the BW Fun Bux is to possibly obscure regional price differences. Everyone sees the same point value and you adjust what you charge for different markets by charging more or less for the points themselves. This way they can minimize the whole 'It sucks to be an Australian gamer' factor.

This is the only option I can see when trying to buy the individual DLC, to buy points in chunks. Where is what you're talking about?
A friend did point out to me that if you go to simply purchase BW points through your account control panel, there is a different set of options which includes 400, 560, 800, and 1200 point chunks, which is quite different from the checkout options. Apparently there's some serious UI fail going on here, on top of the bookie-like sheisterism of the points scheme in the first place.
I don't mind MS points because I will invariably use them on other things on Xbox live anyway.
This option is fine is dandy for Microsoft's happy little planet of their own, but it's a very different story on PC.
They're essentially telling me I have to shop on chunks of credit only good at their store where they have a grand total of two products. In addition, I'm getting three different stories about just how much credit I'm required to put money down for at a time. I don't really appreciate EA bringing this convoluted system to PC in the first place, and it's become apparent that they didn't even do a good job of it. I know they want to make money, but there's this age-old method of doing that called "running a normal store which exchanges goods for money", which is extraordinarily prevalent to the point of being universally expected on PC.
Know what? Screw you, EA, for even trying this. I gave it a fair shake, but I'm not going to willingly buy into what I perceive as either a con job or a slipshod operation that could quickly and easily go bust, taking my money with it.

Yeah, I don't bother with Dragon Ages DLC or anything on PC. I actually refuse to buy any DLC in DA on principle for their shenanigans with the guy in your camp in DA. I don't mind MS points though because I can use them on other things so I'm not so worried about buying ME2 DLC or anything.
It really does suck they haven't worked out their ideas for their own store. Personally this is largely why I'm increasingly buying console games in lieu of PC games.

Talking about playing the game itself once more:
There's an odd spot in the Hawking Eta Cluster, Century system, in the asteroid belt between the 2nd and 3rd planets, toward the "right" side ... it makes the same noise as if it's going to show you the "Enter Orbit" button, but there's nothing there. There wasn't anything there in my first ME2 career either (which I cleared), but it also made that same sound when flying around that spot.
Any idea what's causing this? Is there something that appears there under certain conditions?

I stand corrected; I was looking through the other interface that didn't give the option for 1200 retard-points, and was happy when I saw it pop up in that one. But I guess 1200 points is just one of their presets. That's pretty shitty.
Edit: I'm willing to buy the DLC (and was looking forward to it), but I'm not inclined to support this "pay money upfront and maybe get something of value for it later. Or maybe not" thing. I hope they add some smaller denominations so I can buy as much as I need and no more.
PS, I'm not buying some horse armor just to spend my excess points.

my guess? they probably copied over that system straight from me1 and its most likely the mining asteroid left over and not deleted properly.
