    hmm :?

Really acting as Cap isn't that difficult... you're just stoic, don't show a lot of expression, get shot in the head with time bullets.

Ryan McPartlin from Chuck would be great. He would barely even have to change his character's name.

You have to be able to give inspirational speeches and have a commanding presence though

Those are the two most important qualities to be Captain America

I'm really curious to see what the production design for the Cap movie will be like

It's set in the forties, are they gonna go whole hog period piece on us? Will they use the whole costume or just parts of it? What shape will the shield be?

And how will they write it? Will Bucky be present and if so will he die? And when will the Red Skull get his red skull? I can't even remember how he got that in the comics

And I'm even curiouser about the Thor movie

Man, a year is like so far away

As far as the costume I think there have been comments that it will be somewhat like the Ultimates version, with elements of the classic style mixed with the practical design of military fatigues

And I would guess they'd go with the circle shield since it's what everyone knows, but it's just a guess

Or they could go with that weird shaped shield and upgrade him with the circular one for the Avengers movie. That's what I was thinkin' anyway

Speaking of which, can I just say that The First Avenger: Captain America is a terrible title

Why did they have to do that? I don't get it

The film, he said, will begin "in 1942, 1943" during World War II. "The stuff in the '60s and '70s [comic books] we're sort of avoiding. We're going back to the '40s, and then forward to what they're doing with Captain America now."[30] Johnston confirmed that the Red Skull would be the film's primary antagonist.[31] He has also stated that the World War Two-era super team the Invaders will be appearing in "the entire second half" of the film.

Man I really hope you're right and its all WWII, it seems like it is, I am pleased. Do you think they'll age him for the modern day stuff at all??

Dichotomy he is my second favourite as well, behind Tony. It is not so odd.

Why would they age him? the whole reason he's still around in the "present" is because he gets frozen which keeps him young.

Someone doesn't need to be a hero for you to like them.

edit: I dunno Bale, I guess it's just that I am having a really hard time seeing him standing next to Norton and RDJ and leading them when he's so young. I suppose it's an unreasonable request because they're not gonna change actors or anything. I am just so worried this is going to be awful.

Isn't that a more recent thing though? With the Civil War and all that other nonsense they really turned him into a jerkass but I think for most of his history he has absolutely been a hero

I feel like to be a hero you need to do heroic things and not when they happen to suite your current whims or help your business.

Tony Stark won't help in a situation if it'll hurt his company, I do not give the credit of hero to a man like that.

Ed Brubaker's Captain America had an entire scene dedicated to it! Tony had to relieve himself because if news caught wind that Iron Man was helping he'd lose his business.

    It is the case.
