What is X-Campus? Like an X-Men: Year One kind of thing?
My guess is that it's supposed to be a X-Men version of that Her-oes comic but with male characters as well. Wouldn't surprise me if they have a crossover between the two comics.

It's like that X-Men cartoon they had out a few years ago where they were in highschool, or at least most of them. Like Wolverine, Storm, Professor X, and Beast were adults and the rest highschool kids.
Now in X-Campus it's just all of them in highschool.
Every time I see a picture of Fire (like that cover on the first page) all I can think about is that line from JLU where wonder woman is trying to hook her and flash up

I'm optimistic. Winick can write "funny". It's just when he goes for cheap drama and his stupid politics that it gets worrisome.
He wrote one of my favorite scenes, too. In his Green Arrow/Black Canary, he, BC, Speedy, and Connor Hawke are on a boat in the middle of the ocean and Connor is mysteriously shot so Green Arrow just starts yelling "CLARK! CLAAARK!" at the top of his lungs and in comes Superman to grab Connor and take him to the hospital
I love it because it's like why the fuck doesn't every other superhero do that
