I am not sure how this game works online but the netcode is pretty good. Playing Halo is almost pointless, there is no way to even hurt anyone but in Bad Company I hardly even notice a disadvantage.

    lol wut?

Pretty much all games on xbox live will just throw you into a game without factoring in your location. This means I almost always play with americans even though I am in Korea. When I play Halo I slide and warp around the map and shoot people and nothing ever happens except that I die. In Bad Company 2 I shoot people and they die, sometimes I die.

I have 109 kills with the Abakan alone. Yeah, totally spammin dat shit.

edit: 19% headshot kills with the Abakan. Aww yeah.

We need to establish a BC2 version of HUAC, except it will be the good guys this team.

"Are you now or have you ever spammed the noob tube?"

I ran the numbers on mine (10-15% all explosives in the game last I check! Not unreasonable.), and I feel confident my stats stand up to snuff. They are also publicly available, if anyone wants to verify that I am awesome.

You should run a BC2 sig so we can verify you aren't unclean.

My noob tubes run about 15% of my assault kills. Knife is likely another 10-15%, and AR / pistols are the rest.

I really, REALLY dislike the term "Noob tube."

It can be applied to anything. "Ah, he shot me with a gun! Noob tube spamming bastard!"

"I got stabbed in the neck? STOP SPAMMING NOOB TUBE!"

"I tripped over a chuck of pixels on the ground and impaled mysef on absolutely nothing and died? FUUKEN NOOB TUBES."

Yeah, people that whine about "noobtube" conveniently forget that it takes what, almost 4 seconds to reload it? If I'm caught with my pants down I just swap to the assault rifle someone conveniently attached to my grenade launcher.

"I tripped over a chuck of pixels on the ground and impaled mysef on absolutely nothing and died? FUUKEN NOOB TUBES."

    It's just..... So stupid...

Some people have stupid opinions, but noob tube is traditionally applied to weapons that are disproportionately easy to use relative to their strength, which is very often 40mm nades in modern games. Battlefield 2142 had one of the worst, as the PK Rockets were a spammable, semi-auto splash damage weapon with an easy arc. The CG is the very best shining example of this concept in BC2.

The 40mm is less problematic by far, though the problem with several BC2 weapons is they are completely perfect when used sparingly, but very unfun for others when spammed. A good comparison in gameplay would be ultimate abilities in DOTA or its clones, which are abilities that are very powerful, and often break typical gameplay principals (like Zeus hitting everyone at once, even if 100 miles away), but they are only allowed every once in a while, which keeps them interesting and prevents them from being unfun (if properly designed. I've seen some broken ones before). The ammo mechanic in BC2 fails to adequately regulate the use of 40mm nades if someone is dedicated to being a terrible person, and they don't improve the metagame strategy. Some pages ago I proposed an explosive damage reduction perk, which if it existed, would help vastly as if you could be guaranteed to survive a 40mm (at the cost of other options, like additional damage for yourself), it would make the situation more interesting and fair.

The reason they get complained about so much is because you run into situations where someone wins because they take the easy way out, not because of their twitch skill or because of a strategic decision. They shoot at you, miss, and you die in a single attack anyways, before you could use a more difficult and fulfilling weapon to win.

    What a clusterfuck.

You can get reported for that since it is a violation of the service agreement (I believe that is the term for their legal document) for the server. EA can and has revoked the right to having the server be ranked for doing such things. THey did it with Farcry 2.

Basically, you can't kick people for using weapons in game as intended. You can for them being dicks, cheating, or exploiting.

    EDIT:

Also, I am starting to like the smgs for the engineer more than the shotguns. My alt has a positive k/d ratio thanks to them!

But that's just it. They're being dicks by refusing to change their weapons, which they know are overpowered. The admins politely asked them to stop being total and utter geese, and they continued.

No man. They're playing the game as intended.

The designers felt that the M60 should be the strongest weapon for the middle ranks of medic. Unless you wish to learn to use the last one or two, it stands as the strongest one.

I don't think anyone that has tried the others thinks the M60 is too strong. It is just a great step up from all previous guns.

CG? well, it is pretty crazy good for infantry. Not sure what to say about that.

40MM. That takes skill, frankly. You need a good angle on your target to be effective.

I press Q before shooting anyone at range everytime. I mean usually I can kill them enough so it doesn't really matter. But other times I cannot or I die but I leave a nice orange dot over them for my team. With the dust and snowstorms and smoke you can spot then kill people you wouldn't have been able to otherwise duie to vision blocking effects. It helps you, it helps your team gives you extra points and when people are not doing it... I can get angry.
