Ad Nauseam and Angel's Grace
Look it up
Makes me cringe every time I think of it.
is there only first edition stuff? or does it have every card there is
You know with physical cards and shit
My current deck for play with my friends is green/black. It's built around Master of the Wild Hunt, idea is to spam 2/2 wolves using various spells and elves, while black takes out any annoying creatures MotWH can't handle. It is a little weak against fliers when MotWH isn't out, but it's still tons of fun and when it draws well it can easily over run a multiplayer game.
Currently building a Standard legal black discard deck to be focused around Quest for the Nihil Stone, Megrim, and Guul Draz Spectre
Still have my revised Scrubland
Thinking about selling it since I hardly ever play white/black
Good old Dingus Egg. What a name.
At first I thought you were kidding
Arabian Nights was an awesome expansion
No, I started when you could still buy Arabian Nights in packs! I played through Legends, Dark whatever and Ice Age before I finally moved on.
High-five, Ice Age was my last set too.
MWS has a function where you can make a "sealed deck" or whatever, and it gives you a selection of every starter pack and booster for every edition. I selected like four arabian knights boosters and a starter, some mirage stuff, and ice age...it was nostalgia lane generating that shit, I tell you what. It felt almost like tearing the foil off an antique all excited like.
As for me, my current tasks are to make a good bruiser deck and a friggin' old school classic, my favorite formula, the white weiners with banding / angels / fortresses deck. Good times.
Almost as good as my soltari cleric deck.
I'm a member of this club also.
why am I not surprised you like banding
I had a multicolor (U/W/G I think) Sliver deck that was just a hilarious rapetrain. Until my brother built a sliver deck to combat mine. That was just a clusterfuck of buffs.
Then I had a White/Black deck with the expected kill cards and circles of protection, but also 2 Phages and 2 Arokmas. If I was ever able to get them out (didn't happen often, it was a gigantic, bloated deck) it was more or less over.
i just cannot figure out how to make it a working inventory and then turning part of it into a deck
Just found out the foil Bloodchief Ascension I got in a draft tourny a couple of weeks ago is worth $10
Why
Banding rocks
I like turning 4 pikemen, 4 phalanxes, and 4 elephants into one monster and the giving it first strike and like four holy strengths or a wild growth
Hell, the best deck in T2 right now is Jund, a tri-color deck.
So is Boss Naya, which is IMO the second-best deck in T2.
it seems to have potential
Banding is kind of pointless in the current system
The only advantage it has over multi blocking is if you use banding you get to decide how the damage is distributed. For attacking there are very few situations where it is worthwhile. I'd much rather have my 1/1 be first strike than have banding
Confusing, outdated, mostly useless systems are right up your ally
I just like to make a few old ones sometimes for nostalgia's sake. Plus, thanks to all the changes over the years, some of the older cards are hella overpowered.
I'm using a black control deck, corrupt/tendrils of corruption get insane powerful the longer the game goes on
Oh well, it's still fun.
This site helps so much when looking for a card for your deck
"I need an elf that is Standard and taps for mana that isn't llanowar elves"
http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Search/Default.aspx?action=advanced&format=[%22Standard%22]&name=+![Llanowar]&subtype=+[elf]&text=+[to]+[your]+[mana]
Bam!
Really? I haven't been able to get that to work since I upgraded from Windows 95.
It might be nice to try it on a modern machine. It always seemed so slow and finickity.
Shandalar? That was a pretty awesome game. I got it to work on XP, but fitfully.
http://lparchive.org/LetsPlay/MTG/Update%201/index.html has some tips most of the way down the page.
Nope Chaos Orb is banned in all formats

kind of funny
I don't know anything about each series of cards they release
but I know the cracked eggshell thing were joke cards that were kind of funny
It didn't show up in the search, but the new Worldwake set has Arbor Elves...they're basically Llanowar elves, but instead of tapping for green mana, they tap to untap a forest.
