Hi guys!
Critical Threat Theatre is doing a reading of the new play Of Dice and Men at PAX East, 10:30p on Saturday.
Unfortunately, our Producing Director has had a death in the family, which has left us scrambling on a number of fronts. Of most immediate concern is that we now have no way of getting the performance on video, which is a crucial part of our efforts going forward in getting a full production up on its feet.
Is there anyone that has access to a video camera (the higher quality, the better) who would be willing to come and shoot the performance for us? We have at least one 3-day pass available for the kind soul(s) willing to do such a thing.
If you know any sound people, that would be a whole 'nother level of awesome, but I'll take my miracles as I can get them at this point.
Thanks!

Okay, now here's why. I'm coming to PAX East with a camera. It's a high end consumer model that can record in HD. With my battery, I can record ~90 minutes of film. If you make an outlet available, I can record nonstop, obviously.
Here's a link to a CNET review of the camera, so you've got an idea of what I can offer:

As you can see, I won't be able to do any sort of professional stuff for you. I've got a RODE Videomic shotgun microphone to go with it, that I'm still learning to use. I've got no tripod, and no real experience with filming.
Just so you know, if you can get someone who knows what they're doing, since I don't, I'm cool with letting you use my camera yourselves, as long as you can cover any damages.
So, as I said, think of me as a last resort. But, if it comes down to it, I can at least offer a camera you can record the play with.
She'll be the one with the long reddish-brown hair wearing a Critical Threat t-shirt. You can also see what she looks like here:

In answer to your question, yes, she is taken, and yes, I am a very lucky man.
