Sounds like... spoken word soul?

A friend introduced me to The Roots, which led to me coming across an awesome track called "The Return to Innocence Lost". I'm not quite sure what to classify it as. After having a poke around Wikipedia I'm going to go with 'spoken word soul'. Anyway, I'd really like to find some similar stuff. I've linked the only stuff that I've heard that comes close.

I think what I'm looking for could almost be described as really really slow-paced hip-hop. I tend to prefer a more somber tone but I'm willing to try whatever I can get my hands on.

Examples (some NSFW):
The singer here is Ursula Rucker... I had a look for more of her stuff but this seems pretty unique.

I quite like The Streets, and this pretty much exemplifies what I really like about him.

Gil Scott-Heron. I'm guessing everyone's heard this and "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised".

The Watts Prophets. Only just heard this after looking around Wikipedia.
