I have been making 3D fan models of video game characters for the past few years. Here are some examples below. I am working on Cammy and Juri from Street Fighter 4 next. I will post work-in-progress renders and wireframes in this thread, if anyone is interested in seeing them. (I work in Blender, which is a free, open source 3D program)
Seem pretty good, but my knowledge of advanced modeling stuff is limited. I'm assuming you did these with polygonal modeling?
Which environment do you use and how long does it take?
And are some of these used for an adult or fan site or something? The last two images seem to suggest it. Also the pose on the 4th one seems a bit stiff due to the shoulders, and the last image looks like you didn't rotate her neck so much as grab the head verts and move them over, which makes her neck look very odd.
Are all your images cropped like this?
Sorry for a million questions, but welcome and hopefully you'll post more work soon. I'm a big SF fan so I wanna see Cammy/Juri.
Hi, thanks!
Yes, I model with polygons, with a mesh smooth modifier applied at render time to make the models look more hi-resolution. Since I always do female characters, I start with the same rigged model in Blender, and move around vertices and change the skin textures to make new characters. I also typically duplicate this skin model and develop it into much of the costume pieces (assigning different materials) so that the costume vertices inherit the original model weighting, and don't intersect with the skin when the arms and legs bend. For modeling, I probably spend about 40 hours on each FF costume. Then it takes me about an hour to pose each image, and another hour to tweak colors and shading in Photoshop. Most of my work is adult-oriented, hence the cropping. As for the weird neck that you are referring to, I often translate bones in my rig to get the exaggerated gestures of my thumbnail sketches, but sometimes I go overboard and make a pose that looks anatomically wrong...
Feel free to ask more questions! I'm working on Cammy's beret, braids, and wrist pads right now.
This thread could really, really benefit from a nsfw tag.
Also I've seen you post elsewhere and was going to comment but never post on that site. The dips underneath her breasts and ribs are far too strong, especially her belly button. She looks anorexic rather than sexy.
Thanks, I can’t seem to find where I can add tags to this thread…
I have a LOT of things to fix on this model, but I also have to decide if I am going to push the anatomical exaggeration to the extent that Capcom established with the character.
Is it your intention to make these girls look like they've had implants? If you're aiming for a more natural look, there is no way their nippley-dos would be set that high. If they ARE fake, then forget I said anything. (;
..............is...is the vag-detailing really necessary? Also, is she supposed to be wearing a suit, or is it painted on? Because no suit would show the indent of the navel like that. Of course, it wouldn't be without some folds in the fabric - anywhere - either...but especially across the breasts.
I realize that doll-faced-emotionless-girls are sexy or something, but you should really work on some sort of facial rigging and acting so that they don't look like... Well, especially the pink haired one, its just like she might as well be a broken pile of limbs? Try making them... smile? With teeth? Look happy? Enjoying sex as opposed to just.. y'know...
jesus I don't even know how to critique this. But seriously, cammy is way more muscular/athletic than she is anorexic. It doesn't look like her. It looks like some hussy-porn star dressed up like her.

I know you're probably making way more money doing this than you would if you were to make some original material with stories (not just for the boobies) but I for one would be able to appreciate, say, short stories in 3D more than this.
I think your renders are better than Umemaro's, which unfortunately reveals that I'm familiar with his work. You've managed to capture the character's faces pretty well, especially wrt the eye shape on Bayonetta and Cammy.

Maybe we should ask a Mod for help.
Click that and then you should be able to edit the title
I will lower the nipples and post a new render tonight or tomorrow.
this guy is a bloody joke who just makes ridiculously bad animations for his hentai site
his hentai site that he wants people to pay for
....uh yeah I'm with you this is just... horrible and ... um, *gulp* not good stuff. Yup. :winky:
Here is some progress I made on Cammy this weekend:
However, for the sake of realism, I will probably add some wrinkles to it, as you indicated.
Thanks!
What he's doing is making porn of video game characters
that's all this is

From a technical standpoint your rendering isn't bad, but your anatomy is hyper-sexualized to the point of making little sense
and cartoon porn is frowned upon on this side of the internet besides
