Keychains XIV: The Reckoning

So I want a keychain. But not one for mere mortals! I want a geeky one with a lightsaber, rocket ship, and wireless interblag 2.0; not an ordinary well-behaved "Mel's Truck Stop" thing. I want a game or technology themed keychain.

ThinkGeek has a few neat ones but they seriously overcharge shipping to Alaska. What other kind of cool keychains are out there, and where can they be had (hopefully at a reasonable price)?

I have this vibrating penis one. About 2 inches long and shoots a EMP blast of 2 yards when you squeeze the balls.

You should get a Swiss Army knife USB one. Slit a mans throat and then steal his RAMs and then get your keys for the getaway van all on one keychain

I have a little metal car with green headlights that light up when you press a button. It's pretty awesome.

Lightsaber eh? When it came out, Jedi Outcast had a collecters edition tin, which among other stuff, included a small lightsaber keychain. Little button that made it glow blue. It was a little long though to be a practical keychain though, and I was afraid of dropping it and possibly shattering it. But I still have it. And it still works.

Wish I could find a picture of it. Google is failing me.

I wish I could find a decent picture of the Darwinian key chain you get with the boxed copy of Darwinia.

Ooh, I have that. Hold on a sec.

    Here we go:

    darwinia.jpg

It's a cheap little thing, but it's also free with the game, so I guess you get what you pay for.

I was gonna recommend what Centipeed just posted. Doesn't get much geekier than having a glowing stick of radiation in your pocket.

And no, they're not harmful in any way, shape, or form. They're not all that bright, but still cool to whip out to show off, and useful for finding your keys in a dark place.

Oh hell yeah, I have two of those.

It was pretty awesome of Square Enix to give them away free online.

I got three of those DQ Slime keychains from S-E. I "ordered" two of them, but one of the boxes had two small ones inside instead of one big one.

I have no idea where they are now, though. I'm terrible at keeping up with stuff. :?

Now I'm disappointed that S-E didn't release a set of key chains based on the ones you find in the game.

I remember everyone had these cool little lightsaber keychain after one of the Star Wars prequel movies came out. They flashed really quickly but I think you could adjust the speed of how fast they lit up. We called them seizure sticks.

Snorlax has lost so much paint in my pocket over the years that he's now 80% translucent, but I love him so and wouldn't swap him for anything.

    Also on a similar theme...

    cufflinks.jpg

GBA-SP cufflinks. The detail is pretty amazing for such tiny things, all the ports and switches are there and accurate.

I've got a bitchin' Steambot Chronicles (Bumpy Trot) Harmonica keychain because I pre-ordered the game. Also have Squall's Lionheart thing that he wears around his neck in keychain form. Got that from a totally awesome import store county fair stall.
