The issue is thus every Dog type is weak to Water or Fighting or both. For the Record I don't consider the Gen Two Legendary Trio Dogs like most people they're obviously Jungle Cats.

I've been playing a bit in the Battle Hall (the 1v1 thing in the Battle Frontier) and while I like the mode there's too much time between each battle, considering that many of them only last a single attack. You shouldn't have to leave the battle screen until your streak has ended.
As soon as the other trainer has left the victory screen, your Pokémon could be healed instantly and the continue, record, rest and retire options could be shown on the bottom screen. Then you could have the type selection on the bottom screen and have the next trainer come in right away.
I guess that also applies to Battle Tower (without type selection menu, of course) and Arcade (with the game board thing). It makes sense for Castle and Factory to take you away from the battle screen because there's more between the battles, but there's no reason to be taken to the overhead view between battles.

Hypnosis is unreliable. I use the following combo:
Smeargle
- Mean Look (traps runners)
- Ingrain (makes Roar useless)
- Double Team (useful when they start to Struggle, as they won't take recoil damage if they never hit you)
- Baton Pass (passes all of these to Breloom)
Breloom
- Swords Dance (useful against legenaries with recovery moves, as it takes less time to knock them back down to 1HP)
- Seed Bomb (filler)
- False Swipe (duh)
- Spore (100% accurate sleep move)

Adamant would be good since it will be punching things in the face all day every day. Not really all that concerned about IVs. False Swipe is honestly not a big deal since TMs make it trivially easy to obtain for pretty much anybody, but I'd like it to inherit Hypnosis if at all possible

My nephew showed me some of his HG game and the Pokewalker and I must say I kinda want the game now.

same, but i'm probably going to make that ralts because mean look would be very nice when going for the roamers
and if i'm feeling more ambitious i'll make that smeargle/breloom combo
The biggest downside to a Parasect is that it would have a decent risk of bursting into flames and dying horribly against Entei.
And/or Moltres I suppose.
Gallade on the other hand is Psychic/Fighting so you don't have to worry about weaknesses as much.
