That's true. I try not to look a gift quest in the mouth, but it's hard not to wonder what happened there. Did he hand it over because of an implied threat? Was it because he lost his bank and is strapped for cash? Did they simply run out of time making the quest?

So, we're in the bedroom of an attractive young woman who's wearing nothing but a nightie and we don't have sex with her. That must be a first for this game.
All we can do is take an ability to level 3, so I didn't figure the full update was needed just yet. I suppose it might help decide which ability was worth taking to level three, though.
EDIT: Skill Tree updated. Let the typo hunt begin!
You know, helping out those villagers might have been the merciful thing to do, but... err... helping out a bunch Lovecraftian cultists might not have been the smart thing to do. :P
We'll definitely be finding out more about them and their religion as the game progresses.
There are levels of friendliness in the game (denoted by the color of their names): enemy, friend, and neutral. Enemies start hostile. Friends can never be attacked. And neutrals are a pain because it's easy to accidentally turn them against you with area effect magic, group style, or a single errant mouse click. Currently the villagers are friendlies.
I'm glad you like them. Usually the first ones are the most informative. Then it quickly trails off into progressing the action and noting weird camera angles. :P
This game can be so silly at times. And it's interesting how the guards aren't in the least bit interested about a drunk guy running around the streets with a drawn weapon.
Siegfried and Thaler are the two coolest guys in the game, I could kick it with them in real life. Kalkstein has some of the most irritating random voice bits of the game. Because you go to his house so often to rest, it seems like every 10 minutes I went to his house and heard him going "Might Rubedo be better?" Other than that he isn't bad.
Hmm. Siegfried's spiel doesn't sound too bad, so I'm wondering what the catch is.
Most importantly, I wonder if, in the Order's world, elves and dwarves fall under 'people' or 'monsters'.
You can pretty much bet that with organizations such as the Order, you can pretty much expect that once the shit hits the fan non-human heads will roll.

Anyway we can get him killed?
That bit with Vivaldi was pretty weird.
"So, I hear you have this book you didn't even want to sell to your fellow dwarfs."
"That's right. I really don't want to sell this book."
"Yeah, but I really want it."
"OK! I'll sell it to you for a pittance."
No wonder that dude lost his bank. :P
It will be a while, but war is coming, and a knight's life expectancy drops sharply in wartime.

So... about our investigation into Salamandra...
Also, now that he's back, Geralt's wolf's head jewel thing is shaking like crazy, which it normally only does when he's fighting.
Would it be wrong of me to assume that Raymond has been replaced by someone who doesn't have Geralt's best interests at heart?
