I was fine coming home yesterday but when I got up this morning I could hardly move. Been laying on the couch all day, hurts to move, and my stomach is a mess.
Anyone else come down with anything or am I the lone man sick after a jam packed weekend?
I didn't, but my buddy did. He cosplayed as Vash the Stampede and probably got it from one of the hundreds of people who took pictures with him. The car ride home was not pleasant at all.
Are you throwing up? Coming out other end? Could be the norovirus. I had it the week before PAX. I stopped throwing up after a day but it took about 4 days till I was able to eat fully again.
For some odd reason, I got up this morning with a cold, sneezing alot, throat is irritating and minor stuff...but I was all fine this weekend and when I got back home.
Honestly, if anyone was going to get sick, I thought for sure I would. Lower red cell counts due to a immune condition I'm going for a treatment for Wed., massively overtired, having to keep putting my hands on the grips of the wheelchair from the Expo, so despite using cleaner and washing a bunch, I'm immediately dirtying them when I move.
Certainly not complaining, though. lil stiff and overtired still, but otherwise seem fine.

I started developing a sore throat during the Saturday night concerts, which turned into a sore throat and sinus congestion by Sunday. When I got up this morning for my flight home I got to throw body aches into the mix.
Some of you with colds that flew in MIGHT'VE got them on the plane and it just took a day or two for the symptoms to really get rolling.

Yeah... I think it might be just the cauldron of disease, I was getting a throat thing irritation all weekend, but this morning it was totally gone, looks like I got out just in time!
I woke up and my legs hurt. Probably from walking and running the whole weekend. And my throat hurts and I can't breath right.
My right ankle is 2x the size of my left, and there's a large area of discoloration. Still not home yet, but about to take some airport priced Aleve, wait 2 hours, then hop a plane home.
I have a case of Barry White throat and had to leave work because I just could not function. But I honestly expect this is a case of "need more time to recover" and "allergies from weather change".
Eesh, feel better everyone. Having walked around Boston each night in nothing more than a sweater and hoodie all weekend, I'm actually amazed that I didn't come down with a cold or anything.
I think yesterday I was feeling a bit sick but it went away pretty quick. I was even running on very little sleep, liquids or food for that matter, what with helping/running the Paul and Storm booth for the entire weekend. I kind of lost track with that stuff and never paid attention. Though I am not complaining at all. I really enjoyed the con, even where I was. I did spend some time wondering around the con and even saw Freezepop for a little bit. Ugh that was another story, blarg!
I am still amazed that I have no ended up sick from it. It sucks that Wil caught a cold but he said it was nothing compared to PAX Prime when he came down with N1H1. Thank god! As far as I am aware none of the artists ending up getting sick and for that I am sending a thank you to everyone for either avoiding hand contact, by doing the salute or the elbow bump in order to keep them from getting sick.
My hope is come Prime this year that I won't come down with anything and that no one else will.
And here I was thinking this was related to those little stickers people were giving out....
I had some nice stomach issues on the car ride home (That gave me a noro scare) and I've been a narcoleptic today but everything seems to have checked out fine now.
Had bad shakes and some chest pain that went away, along with the aforementioned sore throat and nasal drip. I think it was just my body saying "HELL YEAH WE HAD A GOOD TIME!!! ... Now go eat something proper and get some sleep before I start shutting down vital organs asshat!!"
I guess a 300lb dude living on nothing but a handfull of cheez-its and a metric ton of caffeinated drinks with roughly 5 hours or less of severly broken sleep each night, might run into problems.
haha I got a lot of pictures taken when I was Neku.. probably caught whatever horrible cold I have from that. And considering I'm running panels for AB this weekend, I'm not likely to be well for a while. Damn. And the school year closing so fast! Hope I'm atleast alive for finals haha!

I think it was something I ate. It has to be. Luckly I have no vomit but it's coming out the other end.
7 times yesterday, just had my second for today
I think it might be the burger I got from the rest stop on the Mass Pike, it was a bad idea.
well i started to get sick saturday night. I have the symptoms of norovirus but won't know for sure till i goto the ER. it really sucks. I'll feel bad if i infected anyone else in those days since.
Well if anyone gets the norovirus the most important thing is to make sure to stay hydrated.
Get some gatorade and gingerale. The gatorade will help to replace the electrolytes and the gingerale will help settle your stomach.
As far as things to eat I think the acronym to remember is BRAT: Bannana, Rice, Applesauce and Toast. Definitely avoid anything dairy or greasy as they are a little more difficult on our digestive system.
All of you guys can totally blame it somewhat on me if any of you were in the BYOC area. On the ride to boston (from NY) I lost my voice for the most part. So whenever I was talking to people I had to use yelling force to create what equated to the voice that a lifetime smoker would have.
If anyone ventured into the BYOC area and is having similar symptoms. I am sorry. I tried to keep it at bay with vit C and so on. I was one of the LPANE/Intel guys that was working at the tournament desk, the only one who had no voice.
I got something on Saturday. Started out with a really sore throat and some aches and pains and then slowly turned into the traditional runny/sneezy nose and headache. Still hasn't gone away. I felt like such shit during the Joco show but there was no way I was going to skip that just for my stupid health.
Worse thing I had was beginning to lose my voice Saturday night during the D&D learn to play event. Well that and general soreness from so much walking. Also had a bad case of ass rash Sunday. Will never forget baby powder again.
I'd like to thank the daily fruit cups at lunch (Which were delicious and much better than the ones at Au Bon Pair) for seeing me through safely.
It's Tuesday and I'm still feeling fine so I think I escaped without getting sick this year. Feel better soon everybody, remember to drink lots of fluids to stay hydrated.
I had a slight head cold. Other than that, if I didn't feel well during PAX East it were due to; drinking too much the night before each day of PAX, smoking too many james Blunts (Drugs are bad ::wink wink::). and lack of sleep from being up until 4-5am playing Table Tennis (xbox 360), Fuzion Frenzy 2 (xbox 360) or Tecmo Bowl (nes).
Ok, so I went to my doctor about my ankle. He's not definitively sure what is wrong with it, other than it not being caused by bacteria, virus, or fungus. He believes it is a sprain, or possibly a nasty bone bruise. So nothing to see here people, move along XD
I've got an annoying sore throat, mild light-headedness and occasional sinus congestion.
Seems like a typical cold, hopefully it'll clear up in time for AB.

Mayhap it's just a nasty cold.

Also, I can count to "boat".

Had H1Nerd1 Last year too. I hate pax.

I'm missing my computer theory class right now to stay snuggled up playing Dragon Age and drinking ginger ale until I feel better

Is it an actual sickness, or just PAXvoice? Cuz I have the second.

Heh, that was me. Oddly enough, I actually caught the pax pox for realsies... flu-like symptoms to boot.
Take care of yourselves, all!
