I'm kind of pissed they brought back the "everyone but rogue/deathknight/mage/druid doesn't get better tier" loot system. The ToC token was the right way to do it.

the toc token system was horrible. You got five tokens per raid, five. Everyone wanted one, and everyone wanted at least two, if not 4. In ICC you at least have a smaller pool to roll against. There's more of a chance to pick up a token when you're rolling against 10 people than when you roll against 25.

It was really, really frustrating to never get a trophy in TOC because 25 people were always rolling on them.

So. You ran it with the same people only once?

Yes. At that point I was guildless.

I'll take rolling against 24 other people any day vs never having the opportunity to roll ever.

Seriously since ICC has been out two Paladin/Priest/Whatever tokens have dropped in 25.

    Two.

    Ever.

And the first one went to a guy who is no longer in the guild.

The second one went for roughly 5 months worth of raiding KP.

So yeah. Give me a fucking universal token.

Same with me.. first week i got a sniff and won. After that.. nothing. Not to mention the GDAM shield of marrowgar. Sigh. :(

Plus i got my full tier with toc 25 a lot faster and i pugged it. Everytime. There are 5 tokens but every pug ive ran with didnt let you win more than 1 token. So even tho the chances were slim, at least you were given something of a shot other than no shot at all. I wonder what the odds are for both systems. I suck at math and figuring non basic stuff especially with the ICC tokens. At least the TOC ones are 1 in 25, 1 in 24, 1 in 23 etc

Ive seen the shield drop more than the tokens. And ive lost the roll, every damn time. Im in a horrible loot rut right now. I dont remember winning a roll on any loot in a long time. I resort to trying to buy the damn item off the person who wins. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. Last time it worked, i spend 9k on a tier token for my mage.

In my guild we had the shield drop 6 times in our first 7 weeks of doing ICC. Pretty handy since we had 2 holy pallies, 2 resto shammies and 2 ele shammies that needed it.

Then once all the mains who could use it had it, it stopped dropping.

    Super handy.

It can be a lot better to tank them out in the open with the right tools. There's not much room in the alcoves and it can be annoying to time AoEs and other skills to grab mobs before they get a hit on squishy people hiding in the corner, especially with my lag. By sitting at the door, they have to run through my DnD and I can just yank/silence ranged mobs. No random silly LoS corner issues either.

My brother has a better one he is dual spec'd as a kitty and moonkin DUAL DPS! he gets asked to heal all the time and gets harassed into why is his off spec balance and not a healer

An example is he went to heroic pos where he had more health then the tank :rotate: and was asked to heal since the priest did not feel that confident in doing that instance

Happy: My Wife played a fury warrior from vanilla to wotlk but she....completely sucked at it, she tried tanking and sucked at that but she's tried her hand at healing and she's really found her niche. she finds it fun and she likes being the one to save the day.

General etiquette is to roll need on your currently active spec. If you enter a heroic as a enhancement you should ask the group if you can roll need on elemental. It's not a big deal in heroics, usually more of an issue in raids.

I've had people bitch me out for rolling need on heroic drops before on my very undergeared alts. When I'm on alts like that I don't roll unless it's an upgrade. If I'm going to be replacing that slot with badge gear soon I generally don't roll either but if I never rolled at all my gear would be even crappier than it is.

Had a guy call me a ninja once because I rolled need on the epic bracer drop from HoS. He was in T9 or better. I was rocking ilvl 200 gear(or worse).

Got lost as always, accidental wipe on a miscommunication double pull, no problem. 2 people can't find their way back in. They leave, need to wait for a new healer. He shows up, but so does a "ret" pally with a shield. Strike 2. Healer knows the way. No problems at all. Last boss dead, drops Crest of Supremacy. Sweet! Roll need......but so does the pally. Amusing: Queue for a heroic, load into a group that just killed the second boss in HoL. Ut oh. The DPS is terrible: it takes 6 minutes to get through the hallway with the Vrykul statues. The DK randomly goes afk from what I can tell. The warrior is in level 70 gear still. Someone has DBM on and the DK gets marked for having the electricity shock thing on the lightning boss. He complains all the way to Loken about having a skull on him and how we need to remove it or else. I tell him he can change raid markings by himself in 5 mans. He gives us "one final warning" so I take the skull off and put the nipple on. He /y's "HAVE FUN FUCKERS" and leaves the party once I pull Loken. We're in combat so he doesn't get teleported out, and is not on the raid frames anymore for the healer, so he dies to lightning nova. We pass out the loot and leave, with his body buried under Loken.
