Hahaha, I like to think of myself as more assault than recon, so VSS red dot is perfect for me. Short to mid range awesome, with much front line motion mine spamming. Its much more effective if you've got an assault in your squad who knows you always need ammo and likes knowing where all the bad guys are

Not to respark a whole new "the 1911 is OMGWTF overpowered!!" argument but last night I was playing Isla Innocentes and was driving the Bradley into the second set of MCOMs. I was getting shot up left and right and when the Bradley blew up and I died it said I was killed by the 1911!
My first thought was "wtf?" and then my second though was "what moron was shooting the Bradley with a pistol?" However, I died so shows who the moron is. I didn't know the 1911 was armor piercing! LoL.
Have we given any though to collecting 16 silly gooses in this thread and "challenging" some random clan or something?

If you're not gonna get in vent to ask for a slot, send me or Tyr or Carbon or Goomba or someone a message on Steam. Seriously. Spamming the server so it misses a heartbeat or racks up a double join can seriously crash it. Silly Gooses.

Granted, one was Asiina. Does that count?
And then I took out another pilot, but that chopper was on the ground waiting to fill up. And somehow that was a double kill as well. Pilot and the guy washing the wind screen!
edit: also, got Icy's dog tag and also got my M60 gold star off him.

I've gotten a 1911 kill on a vehicle before, the last (or second to, point being it was shown on the screen as the match was ending) in a conquest map. To be honest, I was a little worried people were going to report me (xbox) for cheating.
I'm pretty sure it's a bug. 1) I was using my main weapon at the time, 2) I wasn't shooting at a tank and 3) there wasn't a tank anywhere near me.
For some reason the game just randomly assigned me a free vehicle kill via the 1911.
And that, my friends, is when you know a weapon is overpowered. When it's force is so powerful it blows the fuck out of random vehicles on the map simply to please its master.
/pets his 1911 (the actual gun not the... nevermind).

I got something similar yesterday on the new Rush map. I laid down some mines earlier on the bridge. Some one on my team took the bridge out, even though it was an excellent spot to plant mines and wait for a fun, easy kill.
So 20 minutes later while I'm not even playing Engi anymore, shit gets hot near the MCOMs and I shoot a guy. Then suddenly BOOOOOM. Like an AT Mine blew up a tank or Humvee.
