You know, I think the US probably has a ton of untapped oil in various places, but the government is allowing people to drill very little of it because they want to use up all the foreign oil first so that the US/ North America can be left as the last place with significant oil reserves and use it to fuck the world in like 75 years.

    You think this based on...?

    Customer: “No, I don’t have…wait!”

(The customer digs in her purse and pulls out a phone.)

Customer: “I have a Facebook, will that work?”

(The customer pulls up her account and shows it to the clerk.)

Me: “Well I guess for today, but next time we’ll need a physical ID.”

(The customer finishes paying and the next customer steps up.)

Customer 2: “Now just to let you know I don’t have my ID either, but I do have a MySpace.”

I'm pretty sure I'd accept a Facebook page as a valid form of ID at this point.

so i have always wondered this and it was re-sparked by the scott pilgrim thread

why do so many actors use body doubles? i mean for nude scenes i can MAYBE understand...but even then not really

i guess if it is something like "do a kickflip over this thing" or "play a mean guitar solo" but at the same time...maybe you should cast people who can actually DO those things?

i guess my thing is that if i were an actor (and i was at one time) i would...method act? the entire time...

need my character to play piano? well then i will spend all my free time learning! need me to juggle? now i can juggle!

guess i am being a bit incoherent and rambling but whatever
