Semi-Urgent: Traveling to Mexico - Passport?

I am leaving for Mexico on Monday.

What do I need to leave/get back in the country? I have an expired passport.

New passport regulations only go into effect on the 23rd of this month, so I'm okay.

I heard I can use my DL with my Expired Passport... is that correct?

    You don't even need the passport. You only need a valid state-issued photo ID in Mexico and Canada.

    Flying or driving? If you're flying, you'll need a passport to get back into the US after the 23rd of this month.

    if you're driving, and you're white, you should be fine with just a drivers license.

    15-19th, so we're good on the passports. Flying. Just an ID?
