Delete a monitor refresh rate

So, I've just updated my HTPC's graphics card, new drivers etc. (switch from a ATI 4350 to a 4550, 10.3 drivers etc)

And i'm getting a slight issue in that it now thinks it's capable of 120Hz, which isn't that bothersome except I use XBMC on my HTPC. I've got it set to switch to the best refresh rate for when it plays a video. So for films/NTSC content it thinks 120Hz is the best, only it isn't.. 24Hz is.

Does anyone know of a way to delete a monitors refresh rate from windows?

    I don't really see a problem, since 120Hz is a multiple of 24.

Or is there a visual problem?

It's incorrectly picking up 120Hz as a refresh rate it can do, it can't actually support that. The tv just goes to 60Hz when it tries it. It's for XBMC when playing 24fps content like films for example, it ensures very smooth playback by going to 24Hz.

Go figure, reverted to the 10.2 drivers and problem resolved. No more mysterious refresh rate my tv can't do.

I know your driver switch fixed it, but just in case you ever decide to stay up to date with them in the future, there should be an option in windows display settings (or catalyst, I can't remember) to "show only refresh rates my display can support" or some such.

Yeah, that was greyed out. It's pretty weird, but it's no big issue now. I'll wait until 10.4 come out anyway.
