[Let's Play] TimeShift - Set 18 - End of Time

Just recognized the voice of the guy telling you what to do: Greg Grunberg (Matt Parkman from Heroes)

The time mechanics are neat. Your standard assault rifle kind of looks like the stormtrooper blaster rifle in Dark Forces. The architecture is fun to look at. Why are all the fire fights boring? How did they mess that up?

If a bad guy tags you with a grenade, could you just reverse time and then like get out of the way or something?

Yes/no.

When I would try, since the grenade is already on me, it doesn't reverse-away. While its coming towards me, though, I can reverse it back to the baddy and side-step, or stop-time and side-step or slow time and side-step or do nothing and just side-step.

Basically, you can side-step.

I never tried that, because, honestly, the AI is shit. They'd forget they had grenades half the time. I never even threw a single grenade or used the alt-fire on any weapons.

It was all so unnecessary, especially once I got that crossbow. All I ever did was stop-time, shoot-guy, watch him explode. Even the "tough" enemies. Stop-time. Shoot. Explode. It was so silly in its efficiency, outside of ammo issues (which is what the machine gun is for).

After witnessing the rebirth of Just Cause in its sequel, I'm convinced that TimeShift needs a sequel of similar caliber. They need to take all the cool stuff and put it into a good game.

And I have to say that it's nice to see an enemy base where the defenses aren't so pathetic that even a six year child could break through them.

I thought you were done for in that elevator, but no. You were somehow able to cheat death and survive. I don't know how you managed it.

Also, I have to say that dying enemies in this game gurgle like professionals. I've heard a ton of first-class death rattles so far.

Looking forward to the next set.

Finally managed to catch up with these. Pretty amused at how I usually think to use reverse first in most situations, but stop works just as well. (Namely, those rotating things in the vents. Reversing would've made them go the other way, letting you just walk through.) Whatever works, though!

That is a really good sniper rifle you picked up. Or at least, it looks like it.

Ah, that big hall in the first part brings back memory. The game really does look pretty sweet. I might just have to reinstall it.

Klyka, don't know if you've noticed, but those weapons lockers with red X's can be unlocked. Just use the action key on 'the X itself and they open up. Lots of ammo for the taking.

Klyka, you really have to find start stopping time and stealing people's weapons out of their hands. It's pretty funny. Do it when there is only one person in the room. Please?

Hooray! Your efficiency had stopped being German, and was moving closer to that of the NSW government, but now everything is better. It does start being a bit cooler when they moved away from the dreary city, and the blimp was pretty epic. I really thought that it stayed as dreary and bland as the demo was.

I really laughed at the part inside of the blimp when you realized it had a steering wheel with holograms.

I'd always thought that jumping in the turret in a section with one foremost was the plan (Especially when you would end up jumping in it -after- everyone was dead), but after that, I suppose not. Or maybe it was the plan they wanted you to use and they just didn't think it out well.

Yay! It's back. That was pretty cool, I didn't know this game had a vehicle section. Time quad. Also takes on an extra meaning if you've played mass effect. Also, damn this game looks hard. Also, can you please steal someone's weapon out of their hands?

I stole about 30 weapons or so already. Even in this set. If they have a weapon I already have and I can pick up ammo my dude just automatically takes their weapons.

I was trying to get you to make them surrender. You stop time, go up to them and press use. You steal the weapon out of their hands. Try it on a lone enemy. It's kinda funny.

My method of "making them surrender" is "stealing their weapon and shooting an entire clip into their head". 8-)

Regarding the stream, I have trouble with my capture card not sending audio to the stream for some reason. I need to fix that before I stream anything.
