Have we talked about, in this thread, how everyone who bought the map pack on day one is getting credited with a free week of LIVE subscription? That effectively lowers the price all us early adopters paid down to, like, $14.25
Small maps require some teamwork, especially for EaDs. I cringe whenever I think about the highrise matches when I ran EaD. I gave up trying to get many crates, and went more for trying to crush dudes with them.
I just try to lay them down in the side with the helipad and watch for dudes coming through the tunnel.
I had a game of Domination on Scrapyard tonight and I got an EAD. Points were getting capped so fast I couldn't put the thing down without being near the enemies at some point. I dropped it behind the crane by the A hangar and hoped no one came by. Luckily no one did and two crates were ammo so I just left them as bait and hid in the grass at the base of the crane.

I forgot to mention that, when I switched on my 360 yesterday and saw the message I was all like "Uh, thanks?"
Luckily, the first three come back pretty quickly. Two prestiges later, still haven't bothered re-mastering the SCAR. I miss it, but not that much. It's the only gun where I felt Extended Mags were necessary (except the AA-12, I guess), so I basically just don't use it anymore.
I'm pretty sure that I jumped from level 5 to level 8 in one match last night. The darn screen was filled with a while with the challenges that I'd completed. There were like 3 weapons ones that I did at once for the M4 and I think I also got one of the "shoot X enemies while crouched" ones too.
Then I got into it with the fiancee, and didn't get to play for the rest of the night. Even though Josh had just got on and played like 1 round with us.

And watching my score and kill rank was kind of fun this weekend. I think I started around 9 millionth place or something. By Sunday night I was around 7.7 millionth place .
After every game it's fun to see how many thousands of places I've moved up.
Finally unlocking the Stinger was a lot of fun too. Shot all kinds of stuff out of the air.

The highest I've been on leaderboards was 1600th for score and 2000th for kills.
I must have slid into a parallel universe because there's a Modern Warfare 2 free weekend on Steam. That doesn't seem like something activision would do at all.
A flood of new people who don't know what's going on might almost be as good as double xp. Unless they're on my team of course.

It's not a bug, it's just silly and awful. Switching sides and then trying to defend with enemy choppers and AC130s coming out the ass, while the first team didn't have to deal with any of that. Not a huge deal but still stupid, much like nukes in any objective based modes (hell, ANY mode). I guess I didn't honestly expect them to change it, but it would have been nice.
Speaking of nukes some dude bitched and bitched last night in a match that Brutle and I played. Someone tubed him while he was at 24 kills, so he whined about how he had his nuke stolen from him by a tuber. Of course we somehow won the match even with their team having about 2 chopper gunners and at least 1 AC-130. It was just care package after care package, and then dude got an emergency airdrop, and we still beat 'em.
This is probably because that 'tard was playing TDM instead of whatever objective mode the rest of us were going with.
There's a free weekend this coming weekend for this game, right? How do I pre-load it? I couldn't figure it out on the steam store and clicking the link in the ad didn't seem to work.

I don't actually hate Overgrown -- when they first announced the map pack, I mistook Overgrown for Creek and was actually very happy to find out it was Overgrown.
I did however go 0-5 on Overgrown Search & Destroy the other night. I did not like Overgrown then.
Re: COD4 maps...I miss Wet Work. Used to use it with friends to play knives only matches to some degree of hilarity.
Is Skidrow on some sort of 5% chance to appear in Domination list? I love that map so much and yet it never comes up. I got 7 bullet penetration kills in one match on it. Why can't it show up more often?

I think it means you can get a time-bombed version of the game that will allow you to play the MP for the weekend. Once the weekend's over you'll probably be prompted to buy the whole game as what you'd downloaded would then be useless.
