Passive: 5 seconds out of combat he gets .6 percent health regen
Q: Adds a small speed buff, plus bonus damage and a silence (Jeff said stun ><) on your next hit.
W: Passive: Every minion you kill you gain 0.5 magic resist and 0.5 armor permanently (up to a limit of 30 each) . Active: You gain 15-30% damage mitigation for x seconds. (Alistar Ultimate)
E: Looks like Tryndamere's spinning slash, but also negates all slow effects (Yi's Highlander) and is continuous while you move (Fiddle/Kennen Ult).
R: Deals damage to the enemy per point of health they are missing. He said something about being lower than 25% health and having it auto-kill. "Good for new players" -Jeff
Q and E can crit.
Edit: No mana, uses health. Archenemy of Kat lore wise.
Edit2: Only his R is ranged. Otherwise completely melee.
damnit shamus i literally just typed all that up and almost submitted it, glad i previewed post and saw that
i wouldn't compare it to trynd's spin, i think it is more mechanically similar to corki's gatling gun, it is probably a % of his damage every second or so to everyone around him, and it can't go through walls like trynd, it just makes you spin while you move normally
man trynd is like the worst runner since shaco
constantly running away through walls and what not
I would say that early game, Kennan is definitely a pain in the ass harasser that will seriously gimp a melee carry early if there is no ally range to help the melee out. However, I find that Kennan is largely pointless but is nearly impossible to kill due to "it's" escape abilities.
Although, I don't know. It doesn't look like he brings much to the team beyond his ult and being kind of hard to kill.
the guy kept saying "area denial" during the thing
he said that his whirlwind essentially says "don't get into melee range, or else"
and i guess the speed boost + silence helps him initiate to hit a carry and then whirlwind the team, and then he pops the active of his W to take 15-35% less damage (depending on rank) when they focus him
I could be way off base, but to me "area denial" is not the threat of getting hit by a middling-damage AoE. That's harassment. Area denial is what Alistar, Singed and Rammus do, basically drawing a line in the teamfight sand that promises swift death to the first enemy that crosses it.
This dude looks to be another Mordekaiser: an imposing presence that can take a hit and contribute a little damage, but who doesn't factor into your calculations until you're low on HP. Not necessarily a bad thing, but you wouldn't want him to be your only or primary tank.
Actually his ult may make him a bit of a tankbuster, depending on how resists affect it.
Seriously, if you think your team isn't terrible, get a Leviathan right after boots. Then probably the belt for Rylai's then finish it. Kennen needs defense more than he needs damage. His stuns really help him win fights that he is behind in damage when used correctly. Also, it awesome to tell any hero with a channeled ult (Shen, Nunu, Karthus) to eat a dick. If it's 1v1, I generally initiate with lightning, then shuriken, then do the AOE ability for a stun in about 1 second.
Truly, Gangplank is the best hero. He is hilariously fast, and his gun is amazing (knocking 1/3rd of a hero's health from a dozen feet away is quite nice). And his ultimate is fantastic too.
I would say that any hero who requires a specific item to be purchased just to have the CHANCE of beating him is a little more powerful than most champions.
[Insert Melee/Ranged Hero] + Sword of the Divine > Jax
Thus why Jax is not OP, or in need of a nerf.
Not really. Unless your whole team gets them you're probably going to be the person he targets which means he's just going to leap stun you since his shit will be proc'd by everything else around and then he'll beat your face in in 2 seconds.
Regardless one single hero forcing you to blow a bunch of gold just to have a chance of hurting him for a few seconds (that probably won't kill him anyway) is stupid.

nope, still needs a nerf
Poppy and sword of the divine works well because Jax usually can't destroy a Poppy in a matter of seconds, most other melee/ranged dps (especially ranged) don't have that luxury.

I was going to quote a bunch of posts, but I couldn't be bothered.
Sword of the Divine is just one counter to Jax. The other is playing well; contrary to popular belief, he cannot ace your team at will. You shut him down early, like any carry, his late game is fucked. If you allow him to build up after shutting him down during the laning phase, it's bad play on you and your team.
Items that fuck up Jax:
Sword of the Divine - a given.
Wit's End - he needs mana do to do anything.
Madred's Bloodrazor - all that health goes to waste when you have this item. Don't believe me? I play Jax 75% of the time I play LoL, and this item will and does fuck me up. Most people won't build it because they're to sold on their "perfect builds". And with Shen being so popular, you really should have this item anyway in your build if you're melee or ranged attack.
Those items only apply to melee heroes and ranged heroes that rely on attack damage. Yes, some heroes just absolutely suck when going against Jax. But chances are, they suck going against someone else too.
Any casters, however, royally fuck up Jax. Here are some heroes that do well:
Anivia
Annie
Mordekaiser
Fiddle
Twisted Fate
Zilean
Poppy
etc.
If you are trying to 1v1 Jax, you are doing it wrong. Just like if you try to 1v1 Ryze. You're just being stupid. It's a team game and Jax can be shut down fucking hard, provided you're not an idiot.
Yeah, I don't get the claims that Jax is godlike. He's significantly better than other melee carries, but... other melee carries kind of suck, generally.

That's the problem with the game in some aspects. To be an effective melee carry, the hero has to be half-tank.

I heard he has a trynd-esque spin attack

My skill order:
2. Surge
3. Shuriken
4. Lightning
5. Shuriken
6. Slicing (ult)
7. Shuriken
8. Surge
9. Shuriken
10. Surge
11. Slicing (ult)
12. Surge
13. Surge
14. Guess from now on.
I very strongly recommend Surge before Lightning at 2 because Surge generates so many more Marks, and is safer and more reliable damage.
I've only played him AP so far.
This game is amazing.

Huskar/Jugg/Axe. = Looks like shit to me since there is no blink dagger in this game, if you are referring to dota heroes.

ahahaha what
man even after the sheen/triforce nerf, sheen on devastating blow is just ridiculous
1200 gold and you hit like a 180% of a truck
this reminds me, I want them to release a map that is bigger than summoner's rift
just for the absolutely ridiculous 3k+ item combinations that will happen
6 phantom dancers
people will only be willing to play it once a month cause it takes 2 hours on average to play
I was seeing 1k non-crit Q's with poppy with triforce... and frankly I am not even sure that was with Rank 5 Q yet...
Haven't had a TT last long enough for me to get Infinity Edge and P. Dancer.. I imagine at that point she could ace a team.

Pretty much.
I've played against other Jax players, as Jax and other heroes. I rarely have a problem.
Also, the new hero? Probably will be good against Jax, solely because he has a silence + damage with the chance to crit.
