Nah. I've done well againt Garen pretty consistently. Oh, you're spinslashing into me? Have fun taking damage from my Creeping Death and Siphon while doing little to none of your own. Enjoy the Ignite and the Children of the Grave on your way out.
The best counter for Morde that I've seen is Kennan. That little fucker can kite me, dart around too fast to take damage from any of my abilities, stun me, then burst me down while my shield is depleted. And all while never having to worry about running out of mana... at least with other annoying kiters like Ashe, I can just keep baiting them until they use up all their mana.
To be honest, I just really hate Kennan. He's not imba or anything, but I find him unfun to play against, especially as a character with no CCs. His escape mechanism is just too fucking good, and you can't really kill him unless you stunlock him or surprise him with a shitton of burst.
oh, i see you're winning. what we're going to do now is pair you with increasingly dumber feedmates to carry, while simultaneously pitting you against better and better opponents. this will keep things even for you, the baddies, and those guys who just got out of this cycle on the opposing team who have stun, stun, lolstunbear, garen.
I'm curious if anyone actually can do well with Tryndamere in cases where the opposing team isn't substantially worse than yours. I have never seen that happen; the only times I've seen Trynd do well are when his team can achieve at least parity 4v5 and then he cleans up. He's in the class with Yi and Eve.

Just took Baron Nashor at c-level 14. Ended the game a minute later. Our team mostly s-level 20, theirs mostly 30. Wow.

I actually played Trynd a day or so ago (go look on my profile F4ll0ut). Was a very fun game, and we weren't just rolling them, or 4v5. It was a good solid game, and it just went long enough for me to get farmed for ridicu-damage.
Oh yeah, they had a really good Karthus on their team.
Really low minion kills. Did they spend the whole game roaming in a pack or something?
The guys I was laning against (Blitz/Eve) spent most of their time running back. Since it was me/TF, they were pretty screwed when it came to creep LHing.
Tryndamere is a weird fellow. I liked his remake but I think they nerfed him too much right after but unjustly so because he's so reliant on cleanse and cleanse was downright OP then. I think that he's often ending up at a dead end especially in late game team fights because once he pops his ult he either gets tripppppple keel and dies or he just gets kited and dies.
Played in a TT... pretty close match throughout, we finally get a good push (against a Mundo/Shaco/Garen team).
We get into their base and retreat in an attempt to take their nexus tower. Their shaco respawns and snares me. Garen is with him.
I turn around, regen about 20% of my HP in one hit on Garen, hit my ult, they die very quickly. Shaco died almost instantly and I hadn't even auto attacked him.
3 bloodthirsters would be unholy.

Can you give me tips against dealing with Tryn as Mundo? Usually early game I grab the +14 hp/5 (to build up to Warmog's) and harass with Mundo's Cleaver.
On this game, though, it was myself and a (pretty bad) Twisted Fate against a Tryn and Corki in the upper lane. After an early death on my part (I got cocky and delved too greedily and too deep), our sides seesawed back and forth on who was pounding who. Once we hit 6+, though, Tryn would just charge in with impunity, Corki blasting away. I couldn't last through the combined assault, and I couldn't run either, so I often just keeled over - even with the Twisted Fate's 'help.'
I've always been of the opinion most melee heroes should start with a Doran's Shield. It doesn't build into anything, but it provides extremely useful maximum health as well as armor, at only a moderate cost to hp/5.
A regrowth pendant may be good to resist harassment, but when it gets down to it maximum health is what keeps you alive during the sudden bursts. Better to live to blue pill than regenerate a little faster.
As far as Trynd vs. Mundo, it shouldn't be too difficult. On almost all of my tank picks I use Exhaust because it gives me another tool to protect my team. Exhaust makes Trynd and other combat carries all but useless for 3 or 3.5 seconds. Your ult should beat his. It's Corki that probably gave you real trouble, without good enough support from your teammate.
If you're worried about getting ganked, hang back and use Cleaver to last-hit and harass. Mundo is respectable rear support to a real lane presence champion; he doesn't have to run up and get harassed to be useful.
Yeah as Mundo, I'm pretty sure corki is your problem. Other than that, just cleaver cleaver cleaver. If you get cleanse + ghost, your w ability and merc threads, CC shouldn't be an issue for you at all.

Tryndamere is really vulnerable to CC though. Any CC would suffice
3 wins today with amumu. matchmaking has been much better to me today. i'm playing with people that aren't bad, against people that aren't bad. also, no heimers
with balanced teams, i feel like if they actually buffed amumu, he would be overpowered. he isn't the most resilient tank, but can still take a beating with the right gear. though he is more control than tank. i like to bandage in and turn on despair and mash tantrum, then once my team shows up, pop curse and hope i live.
cleanse/flash.
haunting guise
merc treads
sunfire cape
abyssal scepter (if there are other casters on my team)
that is my core, in that order.
i do my share of damage over the course of the fight, but not a ton to any one target. i need to get some CD redux or keep the golem on me most of the time. i start jungling at 5-6, so as long as no one else needs golem, i take it.
I don't understand everyone's infatuation with thornmail. Is there something I'm missing? It's 100 armor, yes, but its passive deals damage to those who hit you physically. Why do you want a passive that deals damage based on how much damage they do to you when you are increasing your damage mitigation concurrently? Unless you take only thornmail for your armor needs, it doesn't seem any better than, say, Warden's Mail which is much cheaper. Somebody educate me!

It's good against physical carries who have stacked all damage and no HP, as they take about 1/3 their DPS as damage themselves.
Technically the two work at cross purposes, but really, they don't. Thornmail keeps you alive longer to deal your own damage, and all the while, harms your opponents as well.
It would be a better item if it was, say, +700 HP and the same damage effect, but that would be pretty damn dumb when people started stacking them. A 5K HP tank that deals 1.5K damage to you while AFK wouldn't be fun to fight.
i am almost 100% positive thornmail reflection is calculated before armor reduction
so if they hit you for 100 you throw 20 back and then could take only 40 yourself after armor reduction
couple with your typical tank having 2x the health and a ton more regen than the nerds hitting you and you are a blowfish that laughs at physical carries
On gragas it is even better, as you reflect the damage, and then lower the amount dealt to you with armor and your drunken rage 26%
maybe this isn't true at all but it seems right for how much gragas rocks

Plus, it's an item mostly used by tanks - the DPS has to hit them a lot of times to kill them, so they continuously take damage from themselves.

To the Trynd discussion: I played with this Trynd (keep in mind this is Top Elo) and scoffed at the beginning because trynd is shit. Well, I revised my opinion of him after the game to be "shit except when this guy plays him".
Maybe this guy was just running good, but he just timed everything excellently, from his spin to his ult.
So yeah, trynd is good if (if) you're completely on top of your game, farm like a bitch and know the game like the back of your hand. A little luck also helps.

Yeah thornmail is definitely calculated before the armor reduction. It's easy enough to test out, get hit by some creeps in a lane and notice that you are doing more damage to them than they are to you.

Hey Soal I might buy gragas since he owns so fucking much
So if you are a level 30 and you team up with some level 10s it will match you up against level 15s and if you so happen to be playing a carry you are pretty good at it is quite terribly unfair for those level 15s.

This happened last night when I did a premade TT with some lower level friends. I felt kinda bad when we had 20 kills to their 1 at the end.

They nerfed the bonus shield charge per hit from his E but his shield now gets 5% more charge from his spell damage.
So basically a buff to his other abilities and a slight nerf to his E when dealing with many targets, I think.
also, WTB flat CD glyphs, MPen marks, and time. lots and lots of time.
Goose Tryn jesus H christ I hate him so much.

How did TF do 4x the damage and 3x the creep kills of everyone else?
I seriously don't understand, because I've never seen a TF like that before. He wasn't even level 30 for that matter.
And yes, I sucked that game. Had a rough early game, and then TF was a hyper carry by minute 10 or so.
