Ok theres a phrase or a certain 'happening' when people arrived in america and began taking over - clearing the land, etc.

What is it called? Its not the pioneers is it?

I realize these thoughts are random - but any help is appreciated, its driving me crazy! :x

    I would have said "pioneer," since I've never heard of anyone "frontier'ing."
