Armadillo Run
Armadillo Run is a physics-based puzzle game. You have to build structures with the purpose of getting an armadillo to a certain point in space. There is a selection of building materials, each with different properties, which can be combined to form almost anything. The realistic physics simulation gives you the freedom to solve each level in many different ways.

Official webpage: http://www.armadillorun.com/

Nominated for several awards, including a 2007 Independent Games Festival nomination, Armadillo Run pits you against dozens of levels in which you must use ropes, panels, bars, elastics, rubber, cloth, and rockets to get the 'Armadillo' basketball to the finish circle. Each level has a set budget, with each material costing a certain amount. Finish each level with the most money left over to get a high score and unlock bonus levels.

Building materials:

Rope: Can be used to suspend objects from an anchor point, or even act as a rope in an intricate pulley system. Cheaper than metal bars but obviously not as durable.

Metal Bars: Strong and sturdy, but also heavy. Useful for creating reinforced bridges. Limited length before they split into multiple bars.

Metal Panels: Excellent for creating walkways or using as weights in a machine design. Very durable.

Cloth: Perfect for creating slides, slings, hammocks, or whatever else your physics machine may need to get the job done. Cheap, light, and customizable

...and more!

Other features include:

-Create your own level designs and share them with others.

-Adjust tension and set self destruct timers to create complex machines in your levels.

-Save levels as you go using the auto-save feature, or turn it off to try the same level again and again and find the cheapest possible way to beat it.

-Wonder why there is an armadillo's face painted on a basketball. Maybe 'Basketball Run' was already taken?

So let's all play this game and share levels in this thread... the demo only includes a few levels and you can't make your own. After I played the demo I went on their site and spent the $20 in a heartbeat. A great premise. If you liked The Incredible Machine, this is basically a physics simulator much to the same effect with more freedom and realism... less cat and mice though.[/quote]

    'Dillo Run is awesome.

A few months back when someone else made a thread like this I bought it almost immediately after playing the demo.

I still mess around with it once in awhile for kicks. Fun stuff if you want to play something quick for a few minutes at a time.

I concur. I'm actually stuck on level 10 or so... gonna come back to it tomorrow. Craziness.

I was just going to make a fucking armadillo run thread sometime this week.

    Awesome, awesome game.

PS: You need a better hook. Try: "It's like Lemmings, mixed with The Incredible Machine, mixed with Gary's Mod, all wrapped up in awesome"
