I'll probably get something the end of this year around Black Friday or Christmas
There have just been more important things to spend out disposable income on for the last few years
Wedding, Honeymoon, Groundlings classes, keeping our parents from being evicted from their homes
Qmark and I got our first HDTV last August, before that we used our awesome TV with built in VCR combo

It uh.. fell off the back of the sales floor of Best Buy and barely fit into the car.
It is Insignia brand, so not the best ever and in dark scenes has a little bit of light in the corners but in general it is pretty awesome for the price. Especially considering it has been over a hundred dollars more expensive every time I've been back.
Also I have been watching Dexter a lot and I am a big fan.

Season 3 was good but season 4 is awesome. I can't wait for season 5. I might have to pay for Showtime just so I can watch it.

When it comes to buying TV's I highly recommend having a wife that works at Best Buy. We got our 50" 1080p Panasonic plasma for $800 when it retailed for $3500.
Thank you for this topic, it has expanded my horizons
(honestly I haven't looked at instant for a while so now I will!)
Watch Dexter.
maybe if you kill a lich thing again with us
I do not think that is likely.
But maybe we can kill Sith togther in The Old Republic.

Yeah my fiancee and I got a Black Friday deal on a 32" Samsung 1080p at Best Buy, it was our Christmas gift to each other.
I have a 42" Samsung DLP in the living room, just had to replace the bulb after almost 4 years of wonderful service, and it was a floor model at PC Richards, too! Now we have the 32" LCD in the bedroom so I have HD wherever I turn. Yay!

In this case the TV was $3500, it discounted down to $2400 then Panasonic was offering an employee bonus discount that brought it down to $800.
I don't know what I will do when she doesn't work there anymore.

I really wanted to buy an HD projector as they have really, really dropped in price lately. Unfortunately, while $1,000 is super cheap for a 1080p projector, that is still a ton of money and twice as much as the tv I ended up with, not to mention you have to replace the bulbs every few years which are $2-300
Does the image from a projector even look as good as a tv, even an HD projector?
Yes. Unless you are projecting it onto a super shitty surface.
edit: not to mention that if you are projecting from like 10 feet away you can get a 108" screen. So $1,000 for an HD projector that can give you that kind of screen is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay cheaper than a 108" HDTV
Hmm, so Rushmore and Margot at the Wedding should be coming in from Netflix today
I haven't liked a Wes Anderson film yet but people won't shut up until I see Rushmore, and I liked The Squid and the Whale so hopefully I dig Margot at the Wedding

Margot at the Wedding was awful but then I also thought The Squid and the Whale was awful so maybe you will enjoy it.
wes anderson films are too in love with being charming and smug that they oftentimes forget to be funny

Oh yeah I am pretty sure my tv is horrifically calibrated because I have no idea what is up.
Maybe it is just a shitty tv because sometimes it looks fantastic but there are some times where I have to just crank the brightness way the hell up to see anything.
Demon's Souls was a particularly troublesome game.
I wish having someone do things to your tv wasn't super duper expensive

Dexter is perhaps my favorite show.
Damn TV was old that when we went to pick it up, the shit just fell to pieces. Im not even sure what was holding it together all this time.

Properly broken in calibrated and treated with tender love and care.
Pretty much always looking for an excuse to buy new gadgets and toys.

No...it should be coming in the mail today
