The FedEx shipping options is specifically for people outside the US who don't want to pick up their passes at will call. PAX passes aren't mailed outside of the US due to the inability to make sure everybody around the world gets them on time. That's why they added the FedEx option a couple of years ago.
Thanks. I was almost certain that i'd have to go pick my tickets up at the will call. I'm even more excited now
I live on the East Coast, and have not received the passes in the mail yet. I did check my address and it is correct. When should I get worried that they have gone astray?

I'm in the Seattle area and still haven't gotten mine, I just keep telling myself not to panic. It's working, mostly.

It says in the print out that you get after ordering that tickets will be mailed two weeks before the show starts. Currently PAX is 2 weeks and three days away.

Official_Pax on twitter said they started shipping out, that was the 9th. I don't think the two weeks and we start shipping thing is set in stone, but I've been wrong before! (Don't tell my husband that though )

I got my FedEx notification today, with an origin of Stratford, Connecticut, so presumably that's where they're all coming out of...
I'm curious if its all up to one or the other side of the Panels, the PA crews, or the panel crews. Last year, I missed out on the concerts because I'm a massive Giantbomb fanboy. I wasn't too upset because no one was playing that I was terribly interested in hearing live, but this year I want to hear pretty much all of em, and at the Hall none the less. Yet here we go, the second year in a row (at least, I only started going to PAX last year), that Giantbomb is going to prevent me from going to the concerts. So I'm curious if they are just given a time slow, or if all of the panel folks kinda work out who's going when based on their own schedules and availability?
I have a Synthpop Sci-fi concept album tour planned for next year and would be thrilled to be a part of PAX! Does anybody know how they go about booking acts other than reviewing forum posts?

Concerts aren't the only thing that happen until 1:30 am. Plenty of things are still happening inside PAX and outside at that time of night.

Yeah, I get that there are other things. But, the concert is what I want to go to, and what I'm talking about. Not other things. And there is no way I'll be able to get in after a couple of hours of it going on, pretty sure once they start, you can't get in.

My last comment was directed at Chupa, not you. Deep breath.
Get a concert wristband in the morning. People come and go during the concerts. I'm not sure how different it will be now that we're using a real hall, but if you have a wristband there's a far greater chance of you getting in late than if you don't have one.
It's impossible to see everything at PAX. If you want to see the concert, go to the concert. If you want to see the other thing, go to the other thing. If you can't decide, flip a coin and buy the convention DVDs when they're released.
Wristbands only get you access to the wristband line which is let in first. if you show up after the wristband line is let in then you are just a regular attendee.
And there is no way I'll be able to get in after a couple of hours of it going on, pretty sure once they start, you can't get in.
You can walk into the concerts at absolutely any time you want. Not interested in the first band or bands? Skip them. Want to skip the middle band but come back for the headliner? No problem.
In all the years PAX has been at the WSCC the concerts have never come CLOSE to filling up. A wrist band guarantees you'll be one of the first 2,000 people through the door, but unless there are more people trying to get in this year in addition to the smaller venue, you probably won't have trouble just walking in.
Looking at the schedule, the giant bomb panel is over at 10:00. That means you'll miss (probably) one band and a bunch of standing in line.
Im a noob, as this is my first year attending PAX.
I was wondering if it is possible to get a poster or something signed by Gabe and Tycho. Do they have a booth or something that I could go too?
Im only going on Friday, if that affects anything.
Thanks!
They are doing a scheduled signing (it'll be in the program book), but it's probably on Saturday (it's been on Saturday most years in the past, so that's why I think it'll be on Saturday this year). Outside of that, if they're just walking along and not clearly in a hurry, they'll usually stop and chat/sign things in the halls. They won't usually be together in this case though, so you'd need to find them individually.

The schedule is made using the various availabilities of the panelists and also consideration of what else is going on on the schedule. There's no way to please all of the people all of the time, but the Organizers try hard to organize it so there are "good" things to go to at all hours for whatever your definition of "good" might be.

In the past, the concerts have never filled to 100%, but I think they will this year. After the wristband line gets in, the wristband becomes meaningless and everyone has to get in the regular line. Once the theatre is full, it'll be working on a roughly "one person leave and one enters" rule. More details about Main Theatre are here.

Does anyone know about any contest happening at PAX? Last year I won a Core i7 from Intel and I had a lot of fun running around looking for my nVidia match. Has any company announced their plans yet?
Nothing official. But, the tabletop stuff (including TCGs) will likely be across the street in what used to be called the Annex (don't remember the new name off hand).
Hi, I hate to ask a question I'm sure has been answered but I looked and although I think I have my answer, I just want to TRIPLE check on this. My friend bought his 3 day pass awhile ago and has since moved and COMPLETELY forgot to update his mailing address. Can you he use his print out.confirmation page and ID to get badges at Will Call at all or is he just screwed at this point? Thanks guys.

You'll have to visit exhibitors to find out, nobody really knows much of what all of them are planning until they unload it at PAX.
has anyone seen one? anyone working on one? thanks
For future reference, this is an iPhone app question that got merged in here. I think. Right?
I haven't.
Yep thats exactly what happened...
Assuming this is referring to a PAX schedule app for iPhone...
Rufo from ExpoJunkie posted in the Schedule thread that they are hard at work on the PAX Prime schedule webapp. Additionally in the Schedule thread, killtrip created a number of Google Calendars for the scheduled events being held in each room, and I posted instructions on how to get those Calendars pushed to your iPhone if you use Google Sync to sync with Google Calendars (since it normally only pushes your "main" calendar by default).
Had kept my recipient address for my PAX badges as that of my sister, who is in the US. She doesnt seem to have got them yet ... (and the despatch, i think, has been more than a week back)... whom should I talk too ?
