I'm not mocking, it's just a bad story on top of stealing the Mini Marvels vibe. The whole point of those one pagers is to be a self contained story/joke, yet she is writing that story because her father is a writer for Marvel, and getting a free pass in getting any help at the structure and delivery of the joke and story. You can still tell someone that something isn't funny if they are a teenager and offer ways to make it better than just let it go out the door in that manner.
Also, Krul on Teen Titans? DC must really want that book to get canceled.
I seriously fail to understand why DC's pushing him so hard, especially when they have a guy like Eric Trautmann doing outstanding work on The Shield.
My no-basis-in-reality guess - Trautman is associated with Rucka, while Krul is associated with Johns. Hence, DiDio playing favorites.

fucking kids these days right texiken!
it's a child writing an inconsequential story and you're talking about her getting a free pass on story structure because her father is jeph loeb.

It's more the Mini Marvels aping than anything, because we were told we can't have that anymore because of Super Hero Squad. I'm really not trying to be mean about the story.

History is doomed to repeat itself if we forget.
Never 4get beating Iron Man with just arrows even though he has really good armor.
you know all joking aside I'm curious what you thought of the brave and the bold episode with ted
Loved it.
It showed Ted as a capable, cool hero, set up an interesting mystery for Jaime to solve, was pretty faithful to the comic origins in all the right places, and didn't end with Ted on his knees, getting shot in the head because he was too stupid to say, "Sure Max, I'll join you [until I can get word to Batman.]" My only complaint is that I don't have a Brave and the Bold Blue Beetle II action figure yet. Well, and I think having him get Bucky'd wasn't the most interesting way for him to go out.
Also, I like cartoon Jaime more than comic Jaime. Primarily because he's voiced by Will Friedle.
I like Power Girl, but come on. She straight up let a ship filled with innocent people get blown up in Birds of Prey. She's hardly one to talk about collateral damage.
Plus, what was she bitching at Booster about? Fighting supervillains in the confines of a city. Why not go yell at every superhero ever? It reminded me way too much of that scene in Birds of Prey where Superman chewed out the Birds of Prey, which I also hated. Then she went on to denigrate the JLI and their legacy, despite the fact that they saved the world a few dozen times.
It just struck me as really lazy writing to establish for new readers that nobody takes the JLI or Booster very seriously, setting the team up to eventually be a big deal when they stop Max. Which would be fine, if it didn't require you to ignore a bunch of DC history.
When you gonna start writing comics, Munch? I'd read your books.

You have to basically take everything that happened pre-Infinite Crisis and realize that that one thing might not have happened (that's how bad IC was at fixing things).
It's like Lucy Lane. She was blind (and cured by Bizarro in the Man of Steel mini), but apparently post-IC she was never blind but suffered from being the ignored daughter.
Or Lex Luthor having a daughter. Or Clark traveling the world before being Superman.
Look Hensler, I'm ninety-seven chapters deep into my three hundred chapter Blue Beetle fanfiction epic. As soon as I wrap that up, I'll get started on my own comic, the thrilling adventures of Booster Blue.
Actually, I'm still writing the script for that crime noir comic I mentioned in the Creator thread, writing a short superhero comic script called The Kookaburra Kid v.s. the Koala King that I'll start drawing soon, and finishing up the pencils on a one-page comic. After all my bitching about comics, and making some really bad comics a couple years ago, I'm taking my time and trying to make sure I do the best I'm currently capable of.
Ugh, Red Hulk, Red Hulk, Red Hulk. The Hulked out heroes weren't a fantasy, they're real. REAL! They've trivialised making Hulks, its like mass producing Stark armour. Fucking Loeb.
Initiative, good overall but Im glad Robbins called Tigra on her crap. "Theres a rule between cops that if I come in here and murder you they won't stop me, wah!". I hope he does get his powers back.
So in the DC books this week they have previews for Green Arrow #1, and surprise surprise, it has a bunch of gang members trying to rape a woman (before GA shoots them all with totally serious non gimmick arrows).
It's like every week there has to be a rape or attempted rape in a DC comic.
I get tired of bringing it up but its the kind of shit you can't let go because DC would think they're doing something right.
Well, this week's Amazing Spider-man had one of those, which quite frankly surprised me (though it wasn't out of character).

So, in conclusion, this week had lots of shit comic from marvel and not much better from DC. Ultimate Comics Spider-Man was one of the few diamonds hidden in the morass of turds however.

Fables
Justice League: GL
X-Factor Forever
it was one of those weeks with very little in the middle, it was either good or bad
I dont know if Id call Return Of Bruce Wayne good.
Not bad but not good.
Its basically Morrison running amok again.
Running amok how? The story was completely coherent and actually quite simple in nature. Batman gets into some trouble in prehistoric times and has a scrape with Vandal Savage. I'm not sure what exactly you would expect from a time traveling Batman story.

Awful Batman comics? I don't follow. What awful Batman comics are you referring to?
Because Morrison's Batman & Robin is basically the best monthly that DC has right now. And his other recent Batman stuff is really good too. The League of Legends, Batman & Son, and even RIP are all good stories.

That sums up pretty much every Audrey Loeb strip. At least we only had to read one issue from her brother.
So Teen [strike]Wolf[/strike] Rape?
I'm sure there will also be drug abuse, maiming, and death mixed in with the rape.
Also, Krul on Teen Titans? DC must really want that book to get canceled.

He is perfect for what the book has become.
Teen Titans should become some sort of official awful writers snuff showcase, bringing you the best in cheap violence and character deaths.
