Overall it has a decent story, concept, good art and a good line from Osborn...
"Ha, HAHAHA, ha ha...oh...its so hard to get a good laugh going on these meds"
BUT its ressurected Gabriel Stacy, and why? Apparently no reason since someone else can pilot that fucking suit. They brought back Gabriel Stacy and that whole stupid plot for no fucking reason.

That's part of the reason I don't read any of the thousand Spider-Man books that are around these days. Every time I head about something that happens in a Spidey book, it's always "RAGE! THIS IS STUPID!" Everyone is always mad about everything that happens in Spider-Man books. It really turned me off to the character.

The whole "Osborn did it with Gwen Stacey and impregnated her" thing still creeps me out. But, maybe its because Gwen Stacey is supposed to represent "the end of innocence" / end of the Silver Age of comics. It does leave an odd taste in my mouth, though it does add this other dimension to the whole Spider-man / Green Goblin dynamic.
I get jailed for no reason while CShadow goes unpunished.
And Gwen and Norman didn't need a new dimension, he helped kill the true love of his nemesis' life, and he made it Parkers fault. There is no way in any hell that Gwen would ever sleep with Norman, reason why Norman would pursue it at the time when he intended to kill her either. It's just stupid and OMD was a chance to undo it, which they've strangely chosen to waste in favour of keeping Gabriel Stacy around.
I can see the value in having Peter Parker realize that Gwen wasn't perfect, since that adds a bit more depth to their relationship and causes Parker to mature a bit as well. He's (supposedly) changed a lot since they were together, and those changes ought to be reflected in how he perceives the people he knew and relationships he had when he was younger.
The same goes for Uncle Ben and Aunt May too, incidentally. So long as Peter idolizes his parent figures, he remains a child, and the way to escape that is by coming to see them as normal people who can, at times, be as imperfect as himself. Only then do Parker become equal to the people he looks up to and, consequently, become an adult himself.
That said, the heavy-handed character assassination of Sins Past was just too much. Obviously, when the event is so horrific that most people are content to ignore it altogether, you can't expect lasting change to come from the revelation.

Anytime you try and mess with Spider-Origin it's not good.
There was also that rumor that Marvel was going to make an issue where it was revealed Uncle Ben molested Peter as a kid. And seeing how they've done other stupid things, I wouldn't put it past Marvel.
After this thread I am convinced Ultimate Spider-Man is the only Spdier-Man. He is cool. He gets the girls, he beats up baddies, he gives Nick Fury shit, his Aunt is a hippie, he hangs out with his own super team, he was doing pretty well with his Daily Bugle job until the city got busted. 616 Spidey is in comparison a loser with serious issues that needs a therapist right now.

Yeah, this is how I've felt for the past 3 years.

If we're gonna post out of context spidey, let's take a step down the horrifying ladder
( I have that spiderman/powerpack too rofl)
*stupid anti drug comic*
Save the Bowl spidey!!!! screw that guy, save the Albino Rhino!
I don't have a problem with doing an anti-drug comic, but the thing was so long and tedious (and it was a three part story) and so bad that it wasn't int he same league as other anti-drug issues in comics.

Man, that anti-drug Spider-Man comic ran in some free magazine, which my old middle school passed out to all the students. Being without the ability to regularly make it to a comic shop, I treasured those few precious pages of Spider-Man.

I only had that one, never read the before issues or the after issues, and that was like the cliffhanger. I like to think spidey saved the bowl with a Thwip, and then hot boxed Mysterio

He must be ridiculously popular.

Not really a spider-man story but...
Trouble might have been the biggest waste of the Dodson's talent to date.
Ow. Owwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
Im glad that up to this point I'd never heard of that.
trouble wasn't too awful for what it was

Compliments of Spider-Man/Power Pack #1:
See here for a little more detail.
the only spider-man is of the super stories variety

And before Second Coming can even finish, this week the X-Men start their next big event, with a new $4 ongoing, fighting vampires.
There is not a single part of this I do not like
I am a fan of the X-Men and their zany adventures in space or fighting vampires
Not so much the angsty fighting Magneto and Apocalypse and and the greatest monster of all, intolerance adventures
You monster
And Brubaker's space story (the last x-men space story), wasn't that good
and I do agree Brubaker did not do a good space X-Men story
but Brubaker and space never even sounded like a good idea on paper to me
and that doesn't discredit all the other space X-Men stories that are balls awesome
