The Alien campaign is clearly better because of the versatile, interesting options for molesting dead bodies.

So, Xenomorphs can only harvest civvies, not Marines?

Also, I thought harvesting implies that the host stays alive until chestbursting time. Why is harvesting equivalent to a finishing move of death?

edit: Okay, just got to the air vent part. The game might as well have said "You died. Trust us."

It's worth remembering that your screech will lure marines to your approximate location. It's a great way to split a marine off from his mates and get him into a dark corner so you can do nasty things to him without running the risk of being ventilated by his buddies.

Just try not to wonder precisely why a sane marine would think it's a wise idea to wander into a dark corner on his own to check out that unearthly screeching sound. :?

Clause 88d of their employment contract with the Marine Corps states that they must ALWAYS investigate suspicious sounds by themselves. These Marines aren't stupid, they read their contract, and know what's expected of them.

(88c applies to civilian contractors, while 88d is for the Colonial Marine Corps Marines.)

It didn't really look like the game needed to give the player any advantage for separating the AI marines. They just sort of wander off by themselves.

I just love the Marine AI. It's so terrible. "I SAW AN ALIEN! *Shoot shoot, alien runs off.* Huh. Guess I'll walk the other way now."

The Alien Campaign really does seem much better (if only because it seems more fun), so it's a shame that it's (apparently) the shortest one. I kind of would have hoped that it would've been like AvP2, where you 'grow up' to be Bruce by playing through the different stages, but oh well. Bruce is good fun, it looks like, so that's all that matters.

Also, why do I get the feeling that I'm going to start saying "Molest~" whenever I hit a dead guy in a game now?

I'm already doing it in Mass Effect and Uncharted 2. Everytime I get a guy I use explosives to molest him.

Helloween already has me saying DOOM and ALIENSSS in that same manner he does, and now he has me blowing up dead bodies. It's addictive. :P

The Alien campaign seems much more fun... but is it just me, or is there simply a lack of tension compared to AVP 2? The marines don't use their motion trackers, the guns don't hurt anywhere near what they did in AVP 2, and health actually regenerates...

    ah... good times :)

and whenever i come across a fire in any game, i always go "mmm, heat!"

also, those won't be sufficient to convince the wiki-people of helloween's impact on english culture. i know only three things that could work:
