Did 8BT die?

It seems there's 1 more page for 8 bit theater and it hasn't been decided when it's going up yet.

This is like that time Bob and George ended. Except the ending for Bob and George was epic, and this is like "Well this story arc's done, and I'm bored, so fuck it I'm done."

I wonder when Penny Arcade will be over. And also, if Gabe or Tycho will currently have the watch when the comic dies.

People call me Wood Man, 'cause I always got wood.

PA is a lot more than a comic. If they stopped doing the comic, they still have merchandise, PAX, Child's Play, and the forums.

It's just inertia, at this point.

But anyway, if you read the news posts he said that he had a few more pages, he's just busy with his other, actually successful projects.

Brian's story is actually really heartening for independent artists/writers. He started with this shitty comic, that he just kept doing, and updated it regularly. He got to know people, worked all the time, and eventually got a book and then comic book produced. Now he's got a deal with Marvel and is still producing his own ip. And it all started with a sprite comic.

edit: Also, I think you would be done with a project too, when it's just you writing and arting, and you've been doing it for a million years, and it's not even your best work, it's just something you have kept doing. I would much rather him end 8 bit and produce more Atomic Robo.

I find myself checking the site only for new How I Killed Your Master comics. Brian's made it clear that he doesn't have internet, and that suggestions are unwanted for fixing that.

I struggle with the concept that he's without internet, when he's posting stuff....on the internet. But that may just be me. He's probably doing it all on his phone or some shit. But still, this doesn't keep Speroni from posting his comics on the same site. One would think he could throw his sprite comic to Matt and ask him to post it for him. I'm sure Speroni would be fine with that.

I think it all really just comes down to him not wanting to deliver the final blow to his own webcomic. He's got a couple others going, but he's only writing for them, one of them hasn't updated in over a month (two months?), and the other is a little more than once a week. Although, with HIKYM, there are frequently delays due to him not writing new stuff for Matt to work with.

I kinda like how 8-bit ended. Just wish he'd put the last pages on and call it good.

Brian always posted about them being together at cons. Like "Me and Tim and etc are going to be at nerdcon this week".

But it's been picking stuff like that up through years of following the comic/newsposts, so I might have misread or they might have just been comic convention buddies.

I don't want to go there. Bringing it up, I ended up going to Sean's page, and immediately wanted to punch something in the face.

So now I have a broken nose. Thanks, Sean.
