Apparently a game developer named Zootfly put this together as a way to say "Hey, we want to make a game!".
Two days ago, Slovenian video game developer, Zootfly, sneak-released a couple of videos onto YouTube, sans explaination - best guess is that they amount to them expressing an interest in a Ghostbusters game (as they featured concept art in a company precis - see below for the art.)
Currently, as PC understands it, nobody holds the licence to make a GB game, so it’s not known if this is some pre-hype before pursuing the license or a publisher, evidence that they just aquired the licence, or are just doing it to show off their love of GB.
I hope this happens.
It also looks like there is active pursuit of a third Ghostbusters movie. I'd like the chance to forget about the rather horrid second movie.

Looks boring. I don't know why people always seem to jizz over these crappy fangames, like that Starfox one from a few days ago. Some nice looking models shoved into an unrelated game engine do not replicate the magic of movies and games we love.
It's a fucking Gears of War mod, texture and model replacements. That's all. And Gears had shitty vehicle physics.
I'd sure like to hear your theories on how they got ahold of the Gears of War engine.

Edit: But seriously, reverse engineering perhaps. It has exactly the same roadie run mechanic, the same run and gun animations and stance, and the same particle effects. I maybe dont know how they did it but they did. The locust in the concept art is the nail in the coffin.
They start with GoW instead of generic UE3 cos it's easier and... that proves what?
Actually...
Unreal Engine 3 includes example content and 100% of the source code for the engine, editor, Max/Maya exporters, and the game-specific code for our internally-developed games.

No you are right. They scratch built it. That is the obvious conclusion we can make. Even though it is a small mockup of what they want to do with the license, and not actually a game at all in development.
Yeah, scratch built. Co-incidentally having exactly the same animations as Gears, a fucking Locust in the concept art and the same vehicle (or similar) physics, a game engine, textures, reused effects, sounds and animations.
Once again, you have come to the logical conclusion here havent you.

That people on this board are really really stupid.
long story short, a new 3D Ghostbusters game could be awesome. However even if this were to be picked up and actually developed, you have to remember that most of the "old movie" licensed games of the past few years have been utter hash. Scarface, The Godfather, Jaws, all very bad games. This has potential, especially if it were done right, but I'm skeptical.
Also! I'm reminded of the Ghostbusters comics (Legion, was it?) and now I have to try and find them, buy them, and hug them to death.

Edit: The car physics look awful.
Well, they are driving a Chrysler 300.
Otherwise, holy crap WANT!!!
are those smart guns?
It's a stock sound effect I believe, not specific to anything in particular.

i vote HOAX (please let it be so)
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
It's not Raam, but it's certainly one of the Locust.
You realise that this is just a proof of concept, it's nowhere near a finished game, you probably wouldn't even count this as a started game.
you realize it's not a game at all right? It's some fan made thing that will never come about
Cats and dogs living together.... MASS HYSTERIA!
there should be a Cats vs Dogs RTS. They should work on that instead of Ghostbusters
The car physics look like they were ripped directly from Halo's warthog.

Greatest work of art EVAR.
I'M A TWITTER SHITTER
Other than that though, a post apocalyptic Ghostbusters game would be fucking amazing.
This is not it though.

Yeah, it's a little too gun-ho for my liking. Like you don't even need traps anymore, wtf is up with that shit?
