Ahh! The PAXTrain won't be making it into the station until 8:45 so no matter how much I wanted to go I'm not going to have any sort of chance of making it. While a bit late for dinner it would still be nice if next year the various community activities could be planned with a bit more allowance for those of us taking part in the community trips. I believe CCST will be making it in in time to attend, but once again the federal government has found a way to interfere in my ability to party.

This may sound like a stupid question, but why is it almost 30 bucks? Unless their lasagna is made of fine silk hahaha

Between the food, drink, venue and the fact that inflation is a surly prick, that's where the money goes. As I said in the original post, we're strictly covering costs...our budget is set to break even and there's a good chance that I'm still going to have to foot the bill for some of this.
We looked a large amount of venues and catering options, and this combination was the most economical with the best value associated. So, unfortunately no silk lasagna, but it's a damn good lasagna.
So we get stiff once in a while. So we have a little fun. What’s wrong with that? This is a free country, isn’t it? I can take my panda any place I want to. And if I wanna buy it a drink, that’s my business.
To be honest, I don't mind. This is a tradition that we want to keep alive and times are tough all over right now. We talked to so many different caterers and venues trying to find the best value for *YOUR* dollar and this was the solution that we felt fit best.
If I have to shell some out of pocket, so be it, as long as everybody that shows up has fun and enjoys themselves. That's all that matters to *me*. Money is just money, but PAX memories will last all of you forever (or until you hit some form of alzheimers/dementia).
It's looking like we're going to have a great turnout this year. Registration is happening a lot quicker than I expected it to!! This dinner is going to be rad.

Sure, you roll a 33 on stealth checks but when we are 2 failures into a skill challenge and all you have to do is roll a 2 or higher you roll a 1... o_O

It really depends on how you balance your diet from now until then, but I would imagine you'll be fine.
Also, just because dinner starts at 5:00pm, doesn't mean you have to GET there at 5:00pm...but it can't hurt.
