They probably will, because you have to corpserun somewhere.
What? Just have your party reincarnate at the entrance automatically? That's madness.
I already called it! I'm still calling it. When your party wipes, you get automatically transported to the entrance with half health and mana, and a durability hit.

Fuck you, if I have to buff everyone in the group individually, you can drop a table or hand out a stack of food to everyone.
Hey man, pushing the table button is hard. It takes at least 20s, which is way more than I care to spend concentrated on helping my group mates do anything.
I don't even play a mage. It just seems like people could buy their own damn drinks. It isn't like I can buy a paladin buff at a vendor.
You've always been able to get scrolls. Scriveners take it a bit further with stuff like the scrolls for fort and leatherworkers make drums for kings and mark of the wild now.
I wonder what WoW would be like if it was more like GW and when you wipe in an instance you have to start over.
It would basically be like vanilla where respawn timers were like 10 mins and you pretty much did, sans the bosses so its even worse.
Always fun doing BRD where you clear most of one part, and run back, only to be greeted by mobs that you killed an hour ago. AND THEN, after you kill the last boss on the last part, you run back so you can get out, and you're STILL KILLING TRASH.

I was thinking more along the lines of player/party interaction. It doesn't make as much sense in WoW though, mostly because dungeons are there for party-play and loot, not story... or even particularly for a challenge.

I'd disagree, there are players who still want a challenge without the frustration of having to start over.
Culling of Stratholm is a good example. Back when it was hard to beat the timer it was a challenge to get to the drake in time, and if you did you got rewarded. If you wipe or go too slow, you still finish the instance and get some rewards, just not all of them.
It's also a good example of a story driven dungeon, lots of cool scenes and dialogue, although the intro got a bit long after the 10th time in there.
That's the type of dungeon I hope there are more in Cata. 3-5 trash packs between bosses, and challenging.

I have heard that they were going to try to go back to the paradigm that they used in BC, now that all classes have CC. I imagine it to be more like Sethekk or SLab, where you need to think the next trash pack, CC it and nuke it, because otherwise you'll get killed.

As long as they make it so you only have to CC one thing a pull (like a healer or a mob that a applies mortal strike, something like that), it should be fine.
Unless your random dungeon group is screwed with something like Warrior, DK, Shaman for dps. The dungeon finder will probably assign someone to CC though (it better).

Yeah hex really is Polymorph's ugly cousin. The cooldown on it sucks, and even though it isn't supposed to break on damage, if you look at it wrong it will it seems.
They also may change CC spells to be universal. I am not fond of this idea mind you but it is a solution to the whole having to have certain classes for certain dungeons.
I *did* forget about Hibernate entirely, and roots isn't too bad I suppose. But yeah, Hex is awful and Warriors and DKs don't have any at all.
Shadow Priests have a talented one? Modified Mind Control or what, I can't recall one at the moment, though I haven't really played a Shadow Priest in ages.

its a horror and I can't think of the name off the top of my head, and its a PVP talent at the moment most PVE priests don't dip into taking it.

the problem with the priest one is its not really a CC spell, its just a disarm with a short horror
They have mind control true but they can't do anything except control their mob when they MC a target so its a DPS loss unless the mobs are going to have good effects to use while controlled.

And if they have good effects while controlled, no one will run the instance without a priest. Or if they get it at random, everyone will do like they do now in H HoR - drop immediately.

and, you know, shackle.
undead only. so every instance is gonna have undead now or they'll have to change shackle

No, you get that in the AH. :P

Fixed for LW-ness.

Yeah that's a bit of an exaggeration. Maybe core hounds.
Respawns were bad, but they weren't that bad.

Except that all classes *don't* have CC.
And root, which now works indoors. Warriors don't have any (intimidating shout doesn't count), DKs don't really either.
Mages. nyoro~n
Warriors don't, paladins have a weird one, shadow priests have to talent a pvp one for humanoids, death knights.
If you're Holy or prot, you're excused from CCing.
Hey, AE root is hot.
But you're right, shamans get boned too.
Oh hey. Stoneclaw totem!

It is true that warriors and DKs don't have a CC worth anything though.
Psychic Horror. Which is separate from Silence.
