Yeah, if anyone has suggestions, I have a couple of actions left that I'm not entirely sure what to do with this turn. I checked out the Superscraper but I'm not sure if I can do more investigating on that or not.

You can still look into it!

Alright, I'll go ahead make investigating the Skyscraper my full turn action.

    Dear Board of Directors,

What the hell do you mean the Superscraper is gone?! Inconceivable.

Get over there and figure out what's going on.

Alright, I will conduct research on the zombie menace

    Warfare (4) +Tactics (3) to corral the zombies = 9
    Knowledge (0) + Supernatural (0) to learn about them = 1 and 8

PMC Inc rolls out again to fight the zombie menace. "Quicker, yes, but not smarter team"

Their research on the tentacled creature completed, Lazarus researchers turn their attention toward the flying head monster.

Scanners are set up on the roof of Lazarus headquarters and are ready to scan the creature.

Research roll on head thing (1d10+6=9)

    Supernatural needed I assume?

urgh what a hiatus, sorry guys

prety damn typical that I'm worried having too many players would slow things to a crawl when its me who ended up vanishing

    Formic Solutions
    Actions 2/3 and 3/3:

The Government superscraper simply isnt there anymore: further analysis implies that the whole structure has been ripped right out of the ground

Jagged foundations and leftover pipes gushing water or cables sparking electricity

The planetary gonvernment has been abducted via an interdimensional portal! There must be someway out there of getting them back...

    ..if you wanted to.

    P.M.C. Incorporated
    All actions:

The PMC forces eliminate the zombie menace but gain no further insight into their nature

    Lazarus Inc
    Action 3/3:

The head is a spherical beast with a thousand pointy teeth and two small eyes staring out from a horned spikey head

It spits a fireball at the researchers and they wisely keep back
    Floating Head Thing research 1/2!

I think you're missing my research rolls on the token a while back, HV...or did I miss an update?
    Edit:
    El Skid wrote: »
Uh...I guess there's nothing much to do but research the parasite token. If I don't get anything out of it, I can hand it off to some group that doesn't specialize in crushing things...for some reason.

Crushestro sends his scientist to work on the Parasite token, with the caveat that he is NOT to crush it under any circumstances.
Goddamn it, I fail at rolling.

I meant to do 1d10+1 twice, and did 2d10+1 twice.

Knowledge roll on the parasite token (2d10+1=21, 2d10+1=5) So my first 2d10 roll was 10, 10... I guess I can squeeze at least one 11 out of that.

    Crushestro Inc.
    Actions 2/3 and 3/3:

The lone scientist crushes the parasite dispenser unit in his glee but it doesnt matter because he recorded its nature!

The large pyramids are carriers for the smaller pyramids which are themselves overflowing with nanoscale swarms

The parasite pyramids skewer their victims and take over their bodies: the pyramids engage in combat by sbverting natives while the orbs use their own direct firepower

We really did luck out hiring that scientist guy. Looks like our "tell a bunch of our guys to touch the fence and hire anyone who checks to see if it's electrified before trying to crush it in lieu of a job interview" trick is really paying dividends.

I just adore the mental image of an organisation made up entirely of people who are utterly fantastic at crushing things and aren't particularly adept at anything else...

I'm picturing a muscle-bound killing machine in a labcoat, desperately trying his best not to DESTROYYYYY everything brought into his lab.

As I understand the rules, I can't actually use any direct assistance here; all you can do is trade me your Science stat for the turn, and mine's already at maximum.

However, if the GM allows it, I will (instead of rolling) use Exigency and spend a point of Science to ensure a maximum roll for this turn. (The rules don't say when Exigency has to be declared.) After all, I'm using ALL the cubes...

Once we see what SCIENCE has to tell me, and what our best options for the pyramid are, we can talk stat assistance.

    The Gratifying Octagon
    Full Turn Action:

Taking the artifact and pointing it at the Pyramid Mothership, the Octagon's researchers direct the Orbs to open fire at the massive craft thats floating where the superscraper used to be

The beam slices through a horde of parasite pyramids which were preparing to swarm the whole city
PYRAMID MOTHERSHIP is at 180/200 HP

    THINK
    Action 1/3:

    Exigency

THINK's army of cubes circles the fight between the Orbs and the Mothership, furiously scanning away

The Pyramid is so massively and its armor so dense that it takes reduced damage from all attacks

...except it seems from the very Orbs that were specifically designed to fight it!

The answer is to enter into a protracted fight with the Pyramid.. which can survive a great deal of punishment, or to destroy the Artifact of Distortion, banishing the Pyramids and allowing the Orbs to retreat back to their home dimension
Machine war research is at 12/13!

    Melee Exigency time!

Crushestro calls in the troops...ALL of the troops.

"I've ordered a bunch of sledgehammers, and I need you all to use them. Use them to Crush as you have never Crushed before- beat that damned pyramid into submission, or we're ALL gonna bite it. This might take a while, and we may lose a few of you...but you won't be alone- I will personally lead the charge. Now let's put all of our training and experience to good use and crush this baby! Pick up a hammer and get to the helicopters!"
I think we're up to an 11 melee bonus, and it will be down to 10 after this roll as we part with a point of melee. So 10+11=21
