Speaking of PM inboxes, Alegis PMd me the day after the mafia failed to kill Egos. Apparently he had deleted his PM inbox due to playing in the mini, and didn't realize he still had medigel left (when in fact he had 8 charges), which is why Egos emerged with 10 hp instead of 100. I was amused. Those medigels might have changed the course of the endgame, because both Egos and Mundane had fairly strong personal defenses at that point.

Scientists were the only ones who could use medigel. They also had double the normal chance to get loot daily.

Oh also because the unfortunate side effect of my "no proboards, only PM" tactic of preventing infiltration and keeping the Mafia clueless meant my PM box was all full all the time and I sometimes lost track of conversations that got deleted.

Edit: Also didn't I explicitly state at one point "Look I know who the seer is and who Cerberus/Citadel Agents are so if I'm Mafia you're fucked anyway"

    I distinctly remember posting that.

Yeah, people took that the opposite way of intended.

Well then it can't be helped. There was no other way I could have explained the depth of how pointless mistrusting me was.

    Short of, perhaps, interpretive dance.

In the end though, networking heading was a lot of work. Not sure if I'll try it again. It'll depend a lot on my work schedule.

I was almost SURE I had killed you with that order. The fact that you came out of it with 10 almost crushed me. I was sure I had lost us the game at that moment. I made sure to dump enough on you the next night and dropped the rest on Mundane...but damn, that result nearly ruined me.

Remind people, we should be going after suspected bad guys, not suspected good guys. It's a true fact and a very good player from years ago proved this again and again how useful it is to the village as a whole.

See, now that might have worked. :P

Let me clear the air about that tirade against you. I was on the fence about your loyalties, but Ardor pretty much had it right in that we had to support you. All I was trying to do was to get the village thinking again, because we had stalled on real discussion about finding anybody, and we were sheeping. But it kinda backfired on me, after I posted I had at least 4 PMs basically saying "He's a thrall! Kill him.".

Worry not, I'm not actually upset with you or your actions (it didn't cost us all that much really, what cost us was A) Citadel Agents not working with me as closely as they could have and B) Seer issues. And of course Vanguard mechanics olololol).

I'm just generically bitter. Seething with generic rage.

Other than the mafia having every advantage, the bitterness is simply a character flaw.

Regardless of whether or not I like you doesn't mean you can't go state facts to help the village get their act together!

Make it interesting though, try some flavored rage.

Mostly I would have liked for Sepah to mmmmaaybe inform me of your targets sometime before vote close, after we'd already gotten in contact.

So I could have prevented you from shooting REG Rysk. I mean shit, it could have been worse. What if he'd gone "lol btw we killin' Notch tonight" after vote close like he did with REG Rysk? Seer asplode, and it would have been too late for me to tell you "WHAT NO THIS IS A BAD TARGET"

Well, there are a couple of reasons for that:

    1) We didn't even pick REG Rysk until an hour before close.
    2) Since we had an additional win condition that involved killing at least some villagers, we weren't ready to trust you so soon, before we'd worked out how much to tell you, and how best to keep our secrets if we didn't spill it all.

    1) That's just not a good idea when you have a network head available and established, and who you know has access to a Seer. Village crossfire is a huge issue to be wary of in any game.

    2) Y...Your additional win condition was based on race. Which was public. And I was a Turian! Which WAS PUBLIC! :P:x

As I recall, I asked you to kill one of your team mates without realizing it was one of your team mates. And I was away when you notified me he was one of your team mates, but you went ahead with it anyway. That part was simple poor luck for the both of us.

The rest of you got splattered by the Mafia who was in the midst of process of eliminationing their way to Cerberus/Citadel Agents. You had taken Vanguard damage and were thus inevitably going to get annihilated as members of a crowd the Mafia knew to contain specials

We had a fairly difficult time coordinating due to wildly varying availability, so the delays in decision-making couldn't be helped. And your race was pretty much irrelevant; as long as no one killed YOU, it didn't matter to YOUR win condition which race was being targeted.

Also I struggle to think of a situation in which considering a secondary win condition before the win condition of "eliminating the Mafia" isn't a terrible idea.

The Mafia is always always always the more significant concern.

Also I'm not sure if you get what I'm saying: Being a member of the racial distribution your win condition mandated you must ensure more survive, I would have been less likely to give a shit about your ulterior motives. As they did not threaten me.

But yes wildly varying availabilities is just poor luck. Not much we could have done about that.

Great game Bliss! Won't linger on the previously-mentioned issues but the mechanics were clever and the narrations were top-notch.

Oh, and major kudos to Marikir. It soon became apparent that he and Phyphor were running the show while the apparent Team Leader just spent his time at the discussion table nodding off and waking up just in time to hear the last word and go "KAY I'LL ADEPTIFY THIS DUDE". Excellent analysis, Mar!

I enjoyed playing a lot, Bliss, and thanks for my narration send-off!

Pity I was killed so early, though. I'm impressed at how the mafia managed to pinpoint so many village classes early on. I'll catch up with the proboards after work, can't really do it now, too busy. (Which is why I didn't post as much as I normally do, fingered for death by a busy week at work. Sadface.)

Thanks again, Bliss. The narrations were great, the vote mechanics were AMAZING, and the Vanguards were hilarious (but needed tweaking). I'm looking forward to the next main you run!
