I'm pretty sure it gives bonus points if you encounter an S Link while walking koromaru, but I haven't had it happen yet. (Shinji just joined the last time I picked up FES.)
And while I don't own Gaisokyu, I do own Omnipresence in Wired; the English one.
Strength is far and away one of the best to max. Its final persona is ridiculous.
Fixed that for you. Late in the game you'll have all your night time social links and full stats, so you'll always be going into dungeons in "great" condition. It really gets silly when you can even kill most of the remaining mid-bosses at that point in the game in just a couple of turns.

Oh, I almost forgot Siegfried.
Yeah, he'll do it.
I finished the Answer with all of three personas: Loki, Odin, and Siegfried.

Meh, for now I have better to do with my time.
I own Omnipresence as well. Got it for ten bucks. Too bad I haven't finished watching Lain yet. I know I have no excuse. I also need to buy the Haibane renmei artbook and box set (I know where to get the boxset, but I don't have a spare eighty bucks yet. I can probably sell the DVD 1 and 2 i have). I also hunt for his doujins whenever I go to cons, but so far I haven't had much luck. Get Gaisokyu if you can. It is the highest quality masterpiece of printing I have ever seen. And it even smells good.
I just remembered that Surt is awesome in P3! He's the total fire specialist: Agidyne, Maragidyne, Ragnarok, Fire Boost and Fire Amp. And he's low level so you can get him early.

He gets outdated though. I like taking all that great Surt stuff and shoving it onto a Seth.
Man, just max whichever Social Links have characters you like. That's kind of the whole point. Both Persona 3 and Persona 4 are easy enough that you don't need to worry about having the "absolute best" Personas.
Worryingly, I seem to have participated in most.
EDIT: There were a lot of Smash Brothers threads one point
And little Baldur's Gate 2 threads pop up frequently, though they rarely reach 100 pages
WoW is the reason for the MMO boards, it's like the exception to the rule.
Mass Effect is a lot like Smash; thunderous before and after they came out, but a sharp drop off. The only consistent threads you're missing are the sleeper hit Street Fighter IV which puts up fantastically consistent numbers and the Steam thread, which is kinda a cheat.
I'd kill for a straight up fusion guide. Not this chart stuff, but somewhere that I can pick out what I want to make, and see all possible combinations that would work. I loved that feature in Devil Survivor.
It's really easy to figure out and after a few goes you remember which races fuse into what, and you just look into your compendium and figure out where the holes are.

Ask and ye shall etcetera. All that is required is that you know the name of the demon you want. There's a compendium on the same site where you can pick out demons and click a button to see all the combinations.
If others are the type that enjoys figuring out combinations by yourself, though, I wouldn't follow that; it'll take most of the challenge away. I myself found it pretty invaluable for finishing off my compendium.
Posts
Chariot and Strength, have good physical personas, Strength were particularly good as I recall.
Devil usually has a good magic, bad status, and darkness personas.
Fortune has wind
Priestess and Lovers all tend to be healing. Priestess has ice personas as well.
Emperor and Hierohphant get electricity.
Justice is your go-to Light arcana.
I don't even
(okay the personas are mediocre but it's still the best s-link)
Hermit is the MMORPG. Wait, does walking the dog actually aid with an S.link? If so, I need to get on with that shit.

Apparently I'm mistaken.
I forgot about the MMO.

are you mad, sir
The history of PA SMT threads.
There was a Persona 3 import hype thread I did that's lost, among others.
The first?
'2' (Sorta, a Persona retrospective I did before P3's release)
3 (Inaccessible
4 (Persona 3 centric)
5 (General)
6 (FES centric)
7 (Imagine, Raidou 2, P4)
8 (Persona 4)
9 (Nocturne revisited)
10 (Persona PSP, Raidou 2)
11 (Devil Survivor)
12 (General, P3P)
Mini Holiday Version
13 (P3P, SJ)
14 (SJ)
SE++ Interlude
We're at 16 threads and counting.
Only the Team Fortress 2 community can compare, I think.
Final Fantasy... admirable effort, but not quite.
Oh yeah, and there's an Imagine thread in the MMO forum, best forgotten much like the game itself.
There has been a fuckton of pokemon threads. Pretty much straight through the 4th generation era, and going through about one every two-four weeks.
I'd like to think we decimate the Pokemon community, but I don't know, that is passion.

That's the only other one I can think of.

Not that it really matters, but I am kind of proud of that fact.
This late in the game, and there's still inaccessible barriers.
Also, is there a fusion guide for SJ yet? I'd like to know what makes Genmas/Fiends, and what Primes boost which demon races.
The wiki has a good fusion chart as well
Come to think of it, I think that guide's also in the manual.
(An instruction book that has content? Inconceivable!)
Suppose I decide that I don't REALLY want to explore every nook and cranny for cells. Is this bad?
By Messians I mean their Cathedral Reps.
No, but it's in your best interest. Macca's not easy to come by until late game.

P3 spoilers, sorta.
HessianD from GameSpite did this, I believe.
