well, beat strange journey's chaos path
there is something deeply satisfying about beating the shit out of zelenin with mastema, that's all i'm going to say

now i'm just trying to grind out a few of the highest-level demons before restarting

the level 90+ ones are too much trouble, but i'd like to get to at least level 85 before continuing, get a nice little forma collection too for new game+ funds

that's what i meant, i'm almost flat broke over here

trying to fuse high-level demons means i'm dropping well over 250,000 into my compendium a pop sometimes

but that, at least, was worth it (hello, demonee-ho!)

also, i'm not so bummed about being railroaded onto chaos anymore, because it comes with some ridiculously good perks

the unique ultimate sword you get blows the others out of the water, to say nothing of
a free level 88 Mara and a gun that can sometimes deliver 1000 points of almighty damage at a go, unbuffed

You laugh now, but history has proven that all the finest girls are Messian. Chaos girls are crazy.

That said, I just reached B5. This will be a fun boss fight. Painful, but fun.

    Also, a Japanese SJ guide.

Neat cover. Possibly has concept art too? Not paying $35 to find out, that's for sure.

    i laugh now

and i laugh with the ability to kill trumpeter in a single turn

i laugh a laugh of FEARSOME POWER

incidentally, the enemy search C demons are kind of a pain in the ass

their forma doesn't sell for much, at least one of them has the ability to insta-kill me, and another can cut my macca in half

Hey, all my Law demons are magical beasts. How many demons are weak to physical in endgame?

    As opposed to repelling it?

Yeah, we're really evil, manipulative jerks; but we have great skillset demons.

This is also pretty true in Imagine. The Law demons are magical killers, Chaos are all physical beasts.

Except their Law guys aren't really that evil, especially not compared to Mastema and co.

actually, there aren't many demons who repel physical even in the very end

and thanks to my chaos-special gun, i can bypass all defenses at will anyway, while the rare elemental weakness ends up with a 600+ damage followup with a full-chaos party

either way i do have the occasional spellcaster like huang long in there which is really all i need

law has an exclusive mission path as well that should net you some nice perks

    here's how to start it:
head to grus and go to where you saw zelenin go Disco Inferno on you

Wow, for a level 93 Fiend, Mother Harlot was way easier than expected.
Titania, Nidhoggr and Yggdrasil made short work of her. Debilitate x3 followed by two Gun Amp Grand Tacks a turn. I got lucky and preemptively dropped a Mediarahan when she used her first Babylon Goblet.

Sector H's demons have nothing on the stuff you fight in the Sixth Stratum of either EO game.

The navigation is about the same. I'd say EO takes longer, but both have their difficulties.

(Note: I did not use a single map; I made it through the game's dungeons on my own. So it is possible.

As much as I want to see the Chaos path to atone for Law, uh... I'm gonna need a break from first person dungeon crawlers for a while. (There's a reason I took a break from SMTII; one sadistic FPD is enough.)

    analysis carries over, yeah

and they remove the cap for summoning, so you can create whatever you want early on

but what's the point, without sources even the highest-level demons are pretty anemic compared to your customized ones

Captain Jack is a massive piece of goose shit.

I'm kicking about at level 51, and... I think I'm going to need to Forma grind if I'm gonna take him down reliably.

    Or, more attack mirrors.

Turns out his adds are weak to Hama skills, so I made use of that, leaving just... Jack himself.

The last time, I had a shot, but then he healed himself four times in a row before I just turned off the DS in defeat.

I have no interest in actually doing this, but with enough source grinding for Deflect skills, you could produce a Doppelganger with all four Deflects and Null Expel and Null Curse. And then call him "Mr. Invincible".

(And then watch him die to Almighty damage. Or get petrified. Or something.)

You could also do this with a Rangda, and have a way less shitty demon. Or really, anything that has more nulls/reflects/absorb.

It also would be completely useless, because it couldn't do anything but attack and defend and wait to get flattened by an almighty spell.

So I took out Trumpeter on a fluke. Girimehkala + Vetala's Madness Crushes saved the day. (Also he didn't use Dekaja, and Horn of Fated himself twice.)

Still not entirely sure what I should be getting for Aleph. I think I might just grind and get better demons as they come, as long as I get one with Luster Candy and one with Acid Breath and War Cry.

    Salvation would be nice too.

I must have been severely overlevelled, because I didn't have much trouble with Trumpeter at all. Both times. I suppose the Tetraja Stone helped, but my Hecatoncheir and Fenrir just Madness Crushed him silly in about three rounds.
