I can probably use the wireless mic thing, it's just I'll probably be silent most of the time.

But I did finally manage to stop by Home Depot and get everything necessary to construct a new joystick. Same hinges as before and everything.

Lobbies are going to be so fricking amazing, the only drawback being we'll probably need 2 or 3 lobbies for all the PA people when it launches. Playing Final Fight last night has gotten me excited for Cody and Guy.

DAMN IT I WANT THIS GAME SO BAD RIGHT NOW!

I really don't get the lobby love. I've been in a few HDR lobbies with the PA guys, and its always a good time, but damnit I want to PLAY. I know watching people can make you get better, but you watch 5 fights, get your ass kicked, and have to watch 5 more before playing again. I need my fights money! And training time on my stick! heh. I just don't see how lobbies will tear me away from Arcade + accept challenges.

I like to talk so even when I'm not playing, I'm still doing 'something' to keep me entertained.

GG's everyone I played today. Sorry I was grumpy Degami, bad day today :[

If there's going to be a lobby, I'll tend to limit it to four people or so just because then you've either Just Lost, Got Next, or are currently playing. There might be a little waiting, but it's never TOO long.

SC4 had lobbies also, but due to the drawn-out fights it was only bearable with 3 people at most. SF4 is quite a bit faster so 4 should be OK.

As Balrog, is TAP a decent wakeup option? Or maybe if they're trying to cross me up after a knockdown TAP away from it?

It can work against crossups (usually sends you in the opposite direction) same as EX dash punches and such. I usually fuck up the reversal timing for it though.

Against non-crossups, it sucks. You can be thrown out of it, it takes WAY too long to get active at close range which makes it easy to be jab/poked out of it into a combo.

Has it been mentioned yet whether or not Endless Battle lobbies make the winning player keep their same character for the next match?

Sev: Your gameplay is the most heavily yomi based around. Usually you look for characters that allow you to force guessing situations for big dmg. Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.

I enjoyed the blazblue lobbies usually pretty funny, looking to more of the same with super. I didnt mind just sitting back and watching people play, its entertaining to me still. I didnt mind passing my turn in blazblue to let other people get matches in.

    So, I have a busted 360 and a working PS3. I have a TE stick for the 360. Should I:

    a) Get a new 360
    b) Do that cthulu thing for the stick and use it w/ the PS3

I'm leaning towards b, because I probably shouldn't be spending any more money than I have to, but having a 360 again would be nice too. Suggestions?

Well, if you're going to get a new 360 anyway I don't see why not go with A.

But PS3 dudes are cooler so it'll be a tough decision.

So, hey a little stick help. You know the white sides of the TE stick? One of them was somehow dislodged from the bottom side (though it's still attached) and the "hooks" that grapple the inside to keep it in place are resting above where they are supposed to be. Basically, there's a bit of an opening on the underside of my stick and I want to know how to properly connect the white siding to the main body without breaking anything.

Any clue, guys? I'd just open it up my self but I'm wondering if there's a faster solution than that right now.

Good points on the wings you guys. When I do eventually do them I'll go with black.

The color scheme was between that yellow or this purple:
    OBSF-30-K_VI.JPG

But the yellow stood out a lot better against the black design.

or...OR...you could compromise and do left wing yellow right wing black to play up the effect of the right side fading to black?

I don't think so. When I put the TE back together after dying it, the thing is just barely not quite flush. I tried to finagle it into place, but no luck.

If it helps you, the whole bottom is connected to the sides (like, everything south of the microphone jack and the two wings are one whole piece) except for the front end (with start and back buttons) which are actually part of the top.

Alright, here's version two of the stick I posted earlier. The left half of the stick was looking a little lonely so I added the SSFIV logo, as well and retouching and realigning the main design.
    IbukiStickArtOnGuide-1.jpg

Right now the logo is in the same place as the TE stick's SFIV logo, but I think it looks weird not being aligned with the text up top so I may tweak it a bit more.

good games, solsovly! taking a few matches off you made my night.

i was entertained when you crushed me with your zangief after i zoned you out, because i think that's what happens with a lot of giefs online who are actually better than me - they have the first match, and by the time they go "alright, alright, enough of this silly s.HK bullshit" the match is over. i have to use bison's teleport more consistently to escape from gief when he does get in close, though.

4 man lobbies will probably be best for FFA matches, with 8 player teams owning. I suggest for shits and giggles we create a "sudden death" lobby. 8 players, 1 round each. GO!

Got to thank the person who came up with the dice idea. I've been doing random in HDR to learn the stick, get a mix of shot's and charge, but hate when I get stuck with people I have no clue/no interest. Been using this with a 60/40 split of shoto/charge. I"m having alot of trouble with dragon punches. But this has made the game actually a lot more enjoyable!

Well, part of the balancing issues in MvC2 was that the characters were basically just marvel and capcom character taken from all the other games and thrown together into one big party.

I mean, Capcom does have a poor tract record with making fighters that don't have something really broken in them, but SF4 was pretty good in that regard so who knows.
