I got the last 1 for ps3 at my Kmart Namco stick and SSF4 for tonight for me
oh whats your psn? i thought you were on the 360.
also i cant even believe that capcom left in the ability to set the rounds/time limit in ranked battles. also its ryu after sagat after ryu in ranked... i mean cmon people dont you even want to try the new characters?
edit: also im sad that they dont have the little faces in lobby this time around
I owned vanilla for both, I am the same as my name here. I am watching chuck then plan to get my ssf4 on more.
After lots of time with the TE I feel bad that the buttons on my stock namco just feel wrong slightly.
Man the last guy to run both clocks out on me I won by time out 2 rounds in a row on him with ElF using mostly run away stuff and taunting him. It really annoys me when people run the clock like that.
I have my Sakura taunt set to her yelling Fight! For exactly that reason.
Fucking local store won't sell it to me! God I'm so PISSED!

Sev: Your gameplay is the most heavily yomi based around. Usually you look for characters that allow you to force guessing situations for big dmg. Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.
He cannot play footsies like regular SF cast so it's very important for him to take advantage on every mistakes handed to him by the opponent.
He also doesn't have a true safe reversal outside of EX jet upper so even though his uppercuts recover so damn fast, they also get beaten by almost everything.
I'm gonna use Dudders as my sub though - it will at least improve my execution since he really needs to be able to do as much damage as possible from just one combo to win.
Yeah, I always pick my character immediately, it's simpler that way.
Try and counter pick my Fuerte bitches.
Is there actually any straight counterpick against Fuerte in Super?
I mean, Sagat's still a hard counter to Gief, but I really don't see anyone having insurmountable edge against Fuerte in Super.
Isn't Guile pretty solid vs ElF unless you successfully get into wake up mix ups?
Wha? Definitely not, Fuerte is a straight counter to Guile. Guile's best defense against Fuerte is the threat of air throws and punishing Fuerte on mistakes.
Guile has to work damn hard to defend against a good Fuerte who knows the match-up or at least be as random and as lucky as possible.
Guile wins by zoning out people and chipping them away to death - Fuerte is one of the few characters in the game who can easily get over Guile's zoning trap.
Fuerte is weak to rush-downs, Guile's rush down is on the weaker side so even if Guile tries to rush down Fuerte, it's very easy for Fuerte to run-away or counter the situation.
Guile is weak on wake-ups and Fuerte is a character designed for okizeme insanity.

Eh, if the Guile is good sure, but it's not impossible it just gets annoying. (Also, Ultra 2 means I can punish Sonic Booms now)
Though I will say that a good Guile can be really scary, especially if he gets you in the corner. But most Guile's don't have the reaction time necessary (especially online) to punish a lot of El Fuerte's moves properly. His airthrow is probably the scariest thing he has, and you can bait his jump and punish it.
Seth is really annoying. Certainly more annoying to me than Guile. But stretchy arms can be grabbed with Guac throw, it's more about catching up to him if he is running away. Once Seth is on the offensive is the real concern, because Fuerte's wake-up options kind of suck.
I'm curious how ElF matches up with Adon and Ibuki.
Adon's quickness and range have really been giving me problems so far, but I also still ened to work on the match-up. His wall-dives can be grabbed by ex-guac, but can't really be punished on block. I don't know what it's called but he has a move where he flips and depending on the strength he goes short or far, and it really gives me trouble.
His kara-throwing and long throw range raelly mess me up too, but that's more of a personal problem I have with teching throws poorly.
Ibuki seems fairly even for Fuerte, she can be annoying but I think it's just the same way back. I've played an Ibuki player for the most part in my experience with the game so far. Her wake-up options are fairly week so you can pressure her raelly well once you get going, but it kind of works the same way against Fuerte. When you are knocked down her cross-up kuenai shenanigans are really annoying and can lead to a lot of damage.
Bison is still my kryptonite. I can't handle that dude it seems, and it's infuriating.
edit: For me personally, Bison is my worst match-up - hard to say who goes after that in Super so far cause I haven't played it too much. Rufus is always a bit of a problem as well, RSF doesn't land reliably on him, and he has dive kicks that mess me up on wake-up.
Eh, it's the only way you will learn them though too. Regular ranked mode in SF4 was pretty much my playground for new characters, though eventually I did that with champ mode too.

I was thinking of putting my live tag in red bottom left or top right (will match buttons) or the same grey but cannot find a font I like... any suggestions?

It's always a fear of being rushed the fuck out by Seth and getting eaten by his mix-ups of SPD and cr.LK combos to his 100 kick special thing.

Isn't DeeJay pretty much mostly Guile with a bit of Bison play style wise? I'd assume the same basic match up to vs Guile would work right?
