I was horrified to find out today that my school has neither Photoshop nor tablets. But they do have MS Paint and mouses. So I did what I could for practice by drawing half a skull and shamelessly mirroring it.
Hey guys, I was doing this for a friend for his birthday and I was wondering if you guys had any crits(stuff to add or take away, shading issues?), and I also would like to know which version you like better:
The first one is a little sharper and the second one has a touch of gaussian blur. Yarrr filters I know, but I really like the effect, I think it makes it feel a little more dramatic and movie-like. Yay or nay? Anything to say? My rhymes are not gay. I'll shut up now.
EDIT: Dang, they both look kinda blurry. I guess Photobucket wasn't joking about the 800x600 rule.
Watch the tangent with her left arm and the torso. I'm not a fan of the noodly hand gesture either, something with some hard angles to it would look a lot more pleasing.
Something about her hip position and right leg is really bugging me too.
Also, about that finger... Sucking the finger tip = playful sexy, sucking on half the finger = handi-capable weird. Also also, her facial features seem a bit skewed/misplaced and at least the left eye a tad large.
Decided that this old thing needed to be upgraded for no conceivable reason. Other than your benefit.
Possible caption: "No, Mr Fluffles, I expect you to purr. Muahahahaha"

I really like the design and fingers of the ninja one. It seems like he could go up walls with incredible ease. It gives me a nostalgic feel of the designs of the ninjas in MK.

Well the claws are more for ripping flesh to shreds, but yeah, he could climb with them too.

matter of opinion. I judge a womans sex appeal by how much of her fist she can cram down her throat.
EDIT: I agree on the facial features. But the sketch was in ballpoint.
