Surge Protector Recommendations

Happy Friday -

I recently completed my "man cave", complete with all of the entertainment peripherals necessary for gaming and movies (HDTV, 360, Blu-Ray, etc.) However, as of right now I have everything plugged in to a pretty basic 8 outlet deal. I don't think it really offers any protection, and right now I find myself running downstairs and unplugging everything when I see lightning.

Can anyone recommend a good surge protector that isn't overly expensive & provides a reasonable amount of protection?

    I like APC.

Try their Line-R voltage regulators or their SurgeArrest line.

Or if you have a couple hundred to spare, get hardwire surge suppression to protect your whole house, but it has to be installed by an electrician and usually runs about $300 itself.
