I swear, give ArenaNet a lemon and they won't just give you lemonade, they'll build the deck and table, garden the backyard, fill the pool, hoist the umbrella, bake bread for sandwiches and lay out some fine linen napkins and coasters depicting the WoW logo cut in half.

Great expectations. Here's hoping they build that dream into reality.

I went to PAX East specifically because going to the west coast PAX right on the eve of my transition to University would be too big a hassle and too expensive compared to my other needs. And now this. ARGH!

On the bright side, if it'll be PAX worthy by August, not only will that mean we'll almost certainly see all profession reveals by then, the chances increase alot that a beta will follow on it's heels. We can only hope!

Still though, I envy anyone here going to PAX Prime. You better bring a camera to show the rest of us screenies!

Yeah, same here. I went to PAX East too because getting to Seattle would be a lot harder.

I'm really really hoping that they'll do like what they did for GW1 and E3 - allow the public outside to download the game too and play. Or better yet, I'm hoping for beta or alpha access at some point! Though I'm mightily tempted to go to PAX Prime.

Not necessarily. I remember when WAR was doing demos and stuff, they started before they had released everything and just limited everybody to one of 2 factions. Technically, Arenanet could just not have certain classes in the demos.

Well yeah, that was WAR and the reason they didn't release stuff was because they hadn't finished it yet. ArenaNet, on the other hand, seems to have their stuff together. I was just giving a worst-case scenario.

Yeah, the major spirit summons (for PvE, anyways; haven't checked pvp out since I returned) have been streamlined and none take more than a second to pop out now. You can actually do more than just summon during fights now, it's great :)

After logging in after quite a while I found Panax playing under the [Pink] Clan, a noncompetitive guild with several active members. They do things like nightly missions and vanq runs and are generally overwilling to help people try to get titles or progress young characters. That guild may be too ... rosy for some people, but you should try to get an organized guild like that filled with people around or above your age group.

Ooh, that sounds exciting. What time zone are they in? I find most of my problems are due to playing later at night PST time (meaning 9-11-ish); I have RL friends in my guild so I won't leave it, but they're more eastward and so I often "just" miss them and have to go it alone. Ditto with the Massively guild, as they're playing when I'm just getting home from work. :(

The events are scheduled at 8:45 PM EDT, but there are about 10 or so pacific people on during normal pacific hours. The only solution I can think of in your situation is to get more pacific people to join your guild.

And since the entire argument was about whether or not KCHS started spirit spam, that's the relevant part, not whether or not others did it harder.

Anyway, I take it there haven't been any new updates about classes? I really want to hear about my options for pummeling people's faces in. And by "people" I mean "computer controlled kobolds" because fuck PvP.

I wish it were coming just a little bit faster. I really want to hear about what else they have on tap. At this point I'd even be ok with hearing about a class from the first game and how they changed it.

Would it be too much to ask for a redone Paragon or Ritualist? I'm probably dreaming, but aside from Ranger, which I know they will have, these were my other two favorite classes.
