I imagine the more phallocentric stuff is probably a bit better

They can also possibly have more significant consequences in ME3.
I'm imagining that any significant consequences will be saved for the "big" ME1 decisions, while some of the more minor ME2 decisions might come into play a bit more.

I was in somebody's house, and I saw a copy.
Some of them do. Most of them are cosmetic.
For instance (I'll name a couple of quests, but won't really go into detail here):
Most of them are just alter dialogue as far as I can tell.
Some have a little more to them, but nothing terribly substantial. They shape some of the story aesthetic, that's about it.
