Yeah I think that clinches it, the dreaded El Pollo Diablo will be coming to PAX. Besides it's my all time favorite scene from any Monkey Island game.

Man I really need to get on it and order my buttons.
For people who have been getting them, are they still coming out dark? Would it be wise to lighten it up a bit beofre I send it in?

I'd like some help from any pixel artists out there... I have a design in mind, but wondering if anyone wants to help me "convert" it to pixel art.

If anyone has feedback for me, please let me know! I have a "glowing" porthole variant that I'm not sure works, but I want to know what other people think.

Edited the design to fix one of Rosie's wonky fingers. My forum name will probably be added later to the right.

OMG, I am loving this button!

Sassafras...that is so wonderfully genius! Must have one!!

It is so cool on so many levels! It is Rosie, it is the "We Can Do It" Propaganda poster, Rosie the Riveter is Rosie's namesake... I know you know all of this, I am just basking in your genius!

I think it looks cleanest without the forum name however you must sign it somewhere it is so awesome.

I placed my button order yesterday. It was just enough of a headache to get the order in at all that I didn't bother to complain about not getting the pax discount OR the $18 shipping to Canada when I provided them a US shipping address.

I just emailed Joe from Purebuttons and he told me that the holographic finish is available for any button that has a lot of white space. That's definitely something that would look amazing, but my design doesn't work for that. :)

Meh, when I'm conducting an online transaction, if it gets to the point of needing to speak to an actual person in the first place, it's already gone past the point where I want to continue being involved.

I'm curious about your experience. The first time I ordered with them, the discount didn't go through, but with a quick email they credited my account. The second time I ordered, everything worked as expected - I wonder if it's a site quirk or not.

I noticed that even though their site has a few issues, they've always been polite and prompt in responding to any inquiries.

I myself didn't have any problems when I ordered, other than the discount code not working. I ordered it anyway, and a few days after the buttons shipped, I noticed I was credited back the difference that the discount would have given me. Didn't even have to say a word to them.

It took me nearly a half hour to get mine ordered today.

I tried 3 different file formats (all of which they say they accept) and IF it went through, it would charge me $5 for not having it in a template (which I did). Must have tried a dozen times before they finally accepted a jpeg and didn't overcharge me. The discount code went through just fine.

Definitely sounds like site issues. Mine went through with no issue this morning, as a .jpg. It also didn't charge me the 5$.

(When I tried to submit in PSD it wouldn't work - perhaps try flattening the file?)

The PSD and EPS formats were what kept screwing up, but PB says they take unflattened files as long as the template layer is invisible.

I used PSD this year as well as last year. It worked perfectly this year.

Last year not so much. Buttons came out fine but their little preview window thing was complete fail.

Must have been a good day for their site.

The code worked for me and the buttons came out fine but their preview window was fubar for me about a month ago. It would only give me a 'preview' of either three solid color bars or a wretched compression-loaded image with a huge quantity of white spots all over the image.

I used unflattened files with no problems for the last two years, hence the confusion when it didn't work this year. :( And I'm not talking about the preview image - I mean it either didn't upload at all, or when it did there was no preview whatsoever and the extra $5 was tacked on. Yes, I clicked the radio button saying I used a template.

I think it's part of how they fixed some of the broken issues from past years. Now PSD works fine preview wise, but you have to flatten the thing.

I always made a dupe and flattened it anyways.

They charged that much for shipping? My order came out to $32 CAD after shipping (2x50 buttons) Are you way out east or something?

I got charged 11 dollars for shipping to Seattle - the owner explained that it was a FedEx thing, unfortunately. :(
